Did You Hurt Your Shmegege...

Naming where that quote comes from will get you a special place in my heart. This is a list of a few of the albums that have been stroking the tip of my dig with their tongues
1Into Eternity
Buried in Oblivion

Some fantastic Prog/Melo Death. I'm a sucker for amazing vocals, technicality and sheer songwriting ability, and this has all of those features. Reminds me a lot of Mercenary but much better.
2Opeth
Watershed

I've always been that asshole that has said Opeth is overrated, needs less Opeth and such. Well this album is dispelling these notions. The growls are not as good as past efforts but the cleans actually sound inspired and beautiful. Progressive keys show up a lot more and the songs for the most part aren't overlong such as on past releases. This made lead me to go back and check out the discography again.
3Powerglove
Metal Kombat for the Mortal Man

Power Metal done right. It tickles my loser bone in a way that few do. I feel it could benefit from some vocals, but nothing beats the sheer awesomeness of "Doing the Mario."
4Burst
Origo

Metalcore with a very unique and unpredictable-nature. Musically this album is fantastc, atmospheric, and enthralling but the vocals are grating and have yet to grow on me very much. That obstacle has not, however, hindered this from being in my playlist the last week and i m looking forward to their next album coming soon.
5Flight of the Conchords
Flight of the Conchords

Such a hilarious show and such talented musicians. The sheer catchiness of this album is astounding. Add to that the fact that this is funny and it's a must own. Even people who haven't seen the show should give this a listen for it is well worth it.
