| 10 Albums I Love
I've been trying to come up with a top ten list of my favorite albums for a LONG time now and I've decided that it's damn near impossible. See, I'm 20, got awhile to live and can't speak for music undiscovered. (past and present) So here are 10 albums that I listen to all the way through and don't get tired of singing along with. Basically ones that I LOVE. | 1 | | glassJaw Worship and Tribute
I love a lot about this album...Fantastic lyrics, melodies, musicianship...It's all good baby and it gets better with every listen. | 2 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Miss Machine
Dillinger is one of my favorite bands and as much as I love 'Calculating Infinity', this one is just a little better to me. What I love is that the songs just don't sound the same; some are breakdowny, some are nightmarish, some are angry, some are downright dangerous. I dare you to find more entertainingly inventive and creative hardcore... | 3 | | Brand New The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me
As catchy and great as Deja Entendu is, this album is one of the most lyrically powerful albums I've ever heard...That and it has a lot of random gem type moments where a great guitar part or melody pops up and gets stuck in your head...that still happens to me. | 4 | | Oasis Be Here Now
If I had one band to listen to for the rest of my life...
Everyone hates this one but it's one of the best walls of sound I've ever heard. My favorite aspect are the vocals though because I think that this was a good as Liam Gallagher's voice ever got; scratchy but it's still got range. | 5 | | Converge Petitioning The Empty Sky
Jane Doe would make the list too (obviously) but I love the way that the guitar sounds on this one and too any casual listeners: Yes, it has more than 'The Saddest Day.' (Though it's shadow is pretty long) | 6 | | Botch An Anthology of Dead Ends
I love We Are The Romans but this little EP makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Great arrangement and the lyrics are extremely well written. | 7 | | Coldplay A Rush Of Blood To The Head
So I was going to put Clayman by In Flames here but Coldplay made an album that I am terribly impressed with AND can listen to all the way through without an urge to press the skip button at least once. | 8 | | Frodus And We Washed Our Weapons In The Sea
I always listen to this album, forget about it and then rediscover it and every time I do, I wonder what the hell I was thinking to let it go unlistened to. A very arty and intelligent take on hardcore punk. | 9 | | Thrice The Artist In The Ambulance
What's there to say about this one? It's great. That's pretty much it. | 10 | | Foo Fighters One by One
My favorite of everything they've put out so far...I love a lot of their individual songs but this is one of the only albums of theirs that I'll listen to all the way through. | |
