| Introducing: J. J. Cale
I love his music and I feel he's not receiving enough attention here, so here we go. Known as an influence to many greats such as Eric Clapton, Neil Young, etc, he just does one thing that he's good at and probably enjoys the most: Soft, short, laid-back songs with absolutely no flashy acts or show-offs. His nonchalance reminds of Dire Straits. In fact that's how I discovered him. His one of recommend artists on Dire Straits' page here. Some might find his music repetive and not so diverse. I won't argue that it's not. He offers similar qualities on almost all of his stuff. But if you happen like those qualities, you're on for some sweet experiences. His songs being short, you wouldn't expect to have any lengthy guitar works. That been said, his playing is really really great. Incredible how much he extracts from so few notes. Here's some of my favourites. Please check him out. | 1 | | J.J. Cale Shades
