some more hot takes.
1Pink Floyd
Animals

Making a one-hour album, consisting of five songs, two of which are short interludes while the remaining ones account for the rest of the album, might be hard to do in a compositional sense and cool in it’s own way , however it makes the album far more dauting to get through, and while sure you might get through the album, personally, it’s not something I go back to often.
Best example I can give is probably Pink Floyd.
I legit really like Animals, but don’t revisit it as much as say; The Wall, WYWH, or DSOTM, because the runtimes on those tracks are easier to digest.
2Lil Peep
Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2

Lil Peep, had the best “sound” of the emo-rap/soundcloud era and it’s not even close.
He was extremely talented at mixing the emo/pop punk aesthetics with trap instrumentals and creating a very melancholic dreamy sadboi vibe and his voice fit like a glove. I’d go as far as to say he would probably have had an artistic development akin to Mac Miller if he lived longer.
3Brand New
Deja Entendu

If you were to argue that,“X artist was a bad person so you shouldn’t listen to their music”, oh boy, you would have to stop yourself from experiencing, not just a lot of music, but, A LOT, of art in general.
At the end of the day, there’s not really a correct way to go about this issue. Sometimes terrible people make great art , and it’s on the person who’s experiencing it to make the call if it’s okay to continue enjoying their art. Arguing otherwise it stupid.
4Bring Me The Horizon
Suicide Season

Bring Me The Horizon, are way to over-hated and deserve the success they achieved.
They survived the whole 2010’s myspace era and are probably bigger now, they always changed their sound from album to album regardless of results, and whilst revisiting their discography, their records are aging perfectly, shit, I think I currently enjoy Suicide Season more, than when I was a teen.
5Jeff Rosenstock
HELLMODE

Jeff Rosenstock has the best pop-punk catalogue of all time. OF ALL TIME.
6Deftones
Koi No Yokan

Chino’s lyrics really detract from the music sometimes.
Their sound is so dynamic and interesting, while the lyrics are woefully simple. I’ve read somewhere that he purposely does this to make the lyrics abstract and not to take away from the music. However half the time his writing is based purely off of “You” and “I” sentences and can get annoying.
