SomeCallMeTim 02.27.24	lol at 1 [2] in my first mosh pit (Meshuggah 2012) a dude on the edge of the pit was straight up punching people, myself being one of them. broke my nose that night. That's probably my only negative moshpit experience, minus a few drunk people getting way too rowdy in the pit. Pretty much every pit I've seen, everyone's been very respectful - as soon as someone goes down, the pit would stop dead until they get back up
chemicalmarriage 02.28.24	Tim I too was in a very violent mosh pit for meshuggah it was fucking awesome. Intronaut and AaL shared the bill but meshuggah was just a great time. 10/10
BAT 02.28.24	sputnik gave me my first 'comment is too long,' i've never seen that on lists guess theres a new limit. -guy in a wheelchair circle pitting to the red chord and meshuggah, both times eventually being crowdsurfed to the front of the stage. -seen the chickensuit guy at like a dozen concerts in the late 2000s early 2010s, last time i saw him was probably primus but he showed up in a dying fetus video WOTFW era. at same primus concert there was a gal dancing around with a harry potter wand regardless of who was on stage/inbetweensetup/etc, about 15-20 dudes came up to her asking if she was okay/gave up and walked away. it was like every 4 mins still dunno the context but guessing acid. -last time i saw periphery some rando went up to me in between songs and went 'oh hell yeah man suffocation, i just crushed an 8 ball' -saw soulfly and their set ended up starting at like 12:30am so most of the audience had cleared out, this like 5'5" patch jacket kid was pacing around the pit waiting yelling to no one "I'M READY TO FUCK SHIT UP!', show starts and there's only like a dozen or so people moshing i'm standing to the side mostly just pushing people back into the middle, he keeps running full force into anyone and eventually hits a few girls/their bfs go into fight mode. gets brokenup and he goes back to the same shit just going way too hard for a show thats mostly cashed, runs across the room and jumps on me pretty much kickin/bruising right above my kneecaps, at that point i'm tired of the bs and next time he pushes into me i shove him about 20 ft across the pit, person on the otherside catches him and crowdsurfs him. he's crowdsurfed into the security gates and a guard literally bearhugs him and carries him out the venue while he was screaming for help. -saw nails and this like 6'5'' dude ran across the pit and drop kicked a random 4'4'' gal in the face -saw disentomb and was grabbing drinks before the show started, struck up a conversation with some dude cause i was wearing an origin hoodie and he was a huge fan/talked about the times we'd seen them and he was super stoked to see disentomb. like 6 minutes into the set he trips over in the pit and some dude straight up knees him in the face and cracks open his eyelash/forehead, security helped him treat his wounds and he spent the rest of the show holding a bloody ass towel on his head.
BAT 02.28.24	my memories gotten a bit shit so i'm definitely missing some other fun anecdotes, i'll leave with one gross one where i saw meshuggah and was pretty much near the front bars almost center. i had like a boil on my back and the second the band started the crowd crushed everyone towards the front of the venue and some dude literally grabbed the exact zone of my boil popping it. soo for the next like hour or two i just had a stream of blood and pus going down my back, had a black shirt at least but that shit was awful
