10.23.23 | tbh nearly all of these artists were heavily plugged by the Mystískaos label/creative collective. once those went silent, all the bands kinda fell off as a consequence.
one reason is that many of these share the same members (reportedly) and that once they started pulling the same strings as Mystískaos they started making waves, which gave other scene bands a shine too.
so i am guessing one band fell apart or the label did, which had a chain reaction of all their other projects going down the crapper too.
quite the hell of a feat they've accomplished then, but i guess the artists themselves are still around, just not as loud as before. case and point Misthyrming's latest released to only a portion of its preceding albums' notic |

10.24.23 | lol, those bands were Ormagna, Forsman, Ulfud. Altari were cool, but not really in the vein of the "Icelandic" sound. Nexion have been around for a bit but also a bit lesser known. I wouldn't really say these bands are the same tier as the big names, but there's potential. |
