Zakusz 07.26.23	Thanks for the cheer ups everyone, my wife and I decided I am on "funemployment" for the time being. This will give me the opportunity to work on my novel and complete various tasks around the house that have needed attention. It only took four years, but I officially became a stay at home husband (for now)

Or you can make your own work. Find out things you’re good at, try something new, whatever. Just never give up, don’t let yourself be so discouraged that you feel resigned. Being a stay at home dad is also completely legit depending on your financial situation. Anyways that’s a few thoughts

DoofDoof 07.26.23	'being a stay at home dad sounds epic' I'm about 80% a 'wfh dad' currently and it's no doss, wife doesn't get home until 7pm most nights so I get two busy hours picking up, feeding, washing and entertaining the kid straight after work. Busy times but mostly epic, sometimes just manic.
DoofDoof 07.26.23	I'd definitely rather be working than a full time dad, that'd be extremely psychologically intense long term, and got to be honest keeping the same standard of education and socialising she does at nursery would be impossible for me to provide. Fair play to anyone who's a stay at home parent though, tough gig.

Zakusz 07.26.23	I was the marketing manager for a private wealth practice in Michigan. My position was absorbed by an external marketing agency with no notice. Came a shocker, it was a pretty good gig and I enjoyed it. But life has thrown a nice opportunity at me and my wife's income allows me the ability to hash out my next move with little to no worry. I acknowledge this is not the norm for a lot of people in the world and for that I am grateful that I can take some time to work through it until I employed once again.
