| Top 5 prog albums
Here I will rank albums from the prog/art rock from 70s-80s | 1 | | King Crimson In the Court of the Crimson King
My subjective opinion. When we talk about KC so many great works come to mind,.but.this album is one of the few there you do not see a lot of filler songs. Every song is a great piece of art from the first toast the last one | 2 | | Rush Hemispheres
This was the album which introduced me to Rush. Compared to British prog this band was so much more guitar-driven and did not use keys at all. For me "la.villa strangiata" is one of the favourite prog instrumental pieces | 3 | | Genesis Selling England by the Pound
This album does not need my description. Classic album by the great band in my favourite band formation | 4 | | Gentle Giant Octopus
This was a hard choice. Love all their works, but this one wins. No average or filler song here. Every single one of them is great. | 5 | | Yes Close to the Edge
Here I had doubts between fragile and close to the Edge, .but. the last one wins. In my opinion, this is a more mature album and here the reached the goal they did not quite reach in fragile. | |

02.15.21 | Amazing list Ana. No matter the order of it or the other possible names that could perfectly took the place of these 5 albums. There are dozens of albums that could replaced them. Great to see a so incredible prog list. Congrats. This is great stuff, indeed. | ReefaJones
