Wake
It may seem from this list that I think they’re going downhill in quality, but the truth is, I think they’ve remained amazingly consistent. When it comes to HtS, the longer the better! So, naturally, this 50+ minute masterpiece is my fave. | | 2 |  | Hail the Sun
Culture Scars
40+ minutes of HtS goodness...feels more personal than Wake, I listen to this one more for the feels than for the technical wizardry. | | 3 |  | Hail the Sun
Mental Knife
I was kinda disappointed by this at first because of the length, I think their longer songs are always their better songs because of all the time signature changes and intricacies, but there’s a lot of great stuff on this one. | | 4 |  | Hail the Sun
Elephantitis
Kinda forgot about this for a while til they announced the vinyl rerelease with the new artwork. Pretty great, and it was my introduction to the band, so pretty nostalgic. | | 5 |  | Hail the Sun
Secret Wars
This being released a year after Culture Scars made up for that album’s shorter runtime for me, lots of classic moments and the more aggressive vocal delivery was welcome. | | 6 |  | Hail the Sun
New Age Filth
Haven’t heard it yet obviously aside from the singles (which I loved as I love all of their songs), but I’m hoping for some longer songs on this one too. Given the track lengths of the singles though, this ones probably going to be around 35 minutes just like Mental Knife...oh well! More HtS is better than no HtS! | |

04.13.21 | Just got my new HTS hoodie yesterday. Stoooked for the new one. Good ranking too, I'd probably put 5 at 2 and just push the rest down a slot but even then that feels wrong to have Mental Knife that low lol. They're just too consistent. | Shuyin
