Silent Planet Ranked

Shout out to the instrumental versions of their first three albums as well. They're all great and the atmosphere shines through a lot more in my opinion. Lots of nuance in their music.
1Silent Planet
When the End Began

In my humble opinion, the pinnacle of their sound so far. While it feels much more like a collection of great songs as opposed to a cohesive concept album a-la EWS, I love every song - especially the triple threat of Vanity of Sleep, In Absence and Share the Body.
2Silent Planet
Everything Was Sound

Their most cohesive album. The beginning and ending tracks really round this thing out nicely and there are some great guest features on this one.
3Silent Planet
The Night God Slept (Redux)

Was really glad that they rerecorded this one because the original production was pretty much my only gripe before. I still remember August Burns Red hyping these guys up and now I like them more than ABR and think they're pushing the boundaries into more interesting territory. ABR take notes.
4Silent Planet

I honestly don't understand why so many people seem to be hailing this as the greatest piece of music they've made. It's great, but overall I'm a little disappointed by it. Maybe it was the fact that this was coming after my favourite of their albums combined with the longer wait, but my expectations were sky-high for this and weren't quite met. Also not a huge fan of the production, especially on the drums. Still a lot of great songs. Hoping they release the instrumental version soon so I can digest more of those nuances.
