best metalcore records of all time

this is probably my most listened to genre and it is usually either supremely good or actual dogshit so here we go
1Zao
Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest

probably some of the best older mxc out there
2Gaza
I Don't Care Where I Go When I Die

thick sludgy mxc, sucks the vocalist is human scum
37 Angels 7 Plagues
Jhazmyne's Lullaby

pre misery signals (which is also one of my fave mxc groups) with pretty raw production, rules
4Norma Jean
Redeemer

tried to not put norma jean on this list but i love this album too much, kind of post hardcore sounding in places
5Agoraphobic Nosebleed/Converge
The Poacher Diaries

look i know this is technically grindcore on half of this thing but the metalcore half is godly enough to be considered
6Converge
All We Love We Leave Behind

how can you have a mxc and not put converge on it, one of the greats. this album is the only one of theirs i consider to be better than jane doe
7Misery Signals
Of Malice and the Magnum Heart

a bit more on the melodic side (which generally sucks) but this album kicks ass
8Deadguy
Fixation on a Coworker

hard to even find lyrics for this album, up there with zao in old core. love pins and needles
9The Dillinger Escape Plan
Calculating Infinity

the personification of 'oh god oh fuck' in music form
10Jesus Piece
Only Self

the last two tracks are kinda weird but everything else on this album is soul crushing
11Poison the Well
You Come Before You

i know people prefer their first few albums that helped develop the most mainstream sound but this album will always be my personal favorite for nostalgia reasons
12The Chariot
Long Live

josh scogin's (norma jean's first singer) best album as a vocalist, 'the city' fucking rules. very raw
