Routine Maintenance
Wow. Almost every song impressed me to some degree, whether it be lyrically or musically. The only song I see as weaker than the rest is Bury Me Anywhere Else, but even then I still like the song. Fantastic followup to We Don't Have Each Other. I can't wait to hear the rest of the story. |

This Wild Willing
This album feels like an incredible journey from start to finish. There is so much creativity in this album, and the climax of Fool's Game gave me goosebumps. This is probably one of my favorites of 2019 so far. |

Steady Glow
Out of Focus is a banger. Serotonin is a banger. Right Now is a banger. This whole album is full of pop-punk bangers. |

You Swear It's Getting Better Every Day
Pop-punk with a bit of emo, this album has seriously great tracks with some lyrics that are deeply honest to whoever decides to tune in. |

Morbid Stuff
Absolute bangers all over this album. Not only that, the songs are catchy and anthemic as hell, calling back to the glory days of pop punk in the early 2000s. This album can join the likes of Dookie and Welcome to the Black Parade as one of the best pop-punk albums. |

GREY Area
Short, but also absolutely brutal. No bars are held on this album, Venom is one of the most visceral tracks I've heard this year, and one that I find myself playing often. Every track has something to bring to the table in terms of a creative beat, or in terms of amazing lyrics. |

Psychodrama
Lesley is some of the best 11 minutes of rap I think I've heard this year. Dave brings up his life as he talks to his therapist, almost like this album is a release of tension for him to speak about his past in such a light. It's an interesting study of the man behind the mic. |

Panorama
Fulton Street I + II are some of the best post-hardcore songs I've heard this year. Life and death are explored on this album, along with the need for all of us to accept it's inevitability one day, and the reasons why are explored in painstaking detail throughout. Absolutely wonderful album. |

Blushing
Numerous moments on this album still haunt me months after the first listen of this album. The climax in Colorless, the beautiful echoey vocals starting off on Pope, and the entirety of On Your Worst Day. The lyrics about love and loss are wonderful when paired with the instrumental qualities of some of these songs. |

Trust in the Lifeforce of Deep Mystery
This whole album is epic in scale and ambition. The swelling instrumentation surging throughout this album feel like I'm being put in the middle of the album cover and am about to go on a grand adventure through the cosmos. |

Titanic Rising
This album is fantastic in every sense of the word. Every song brings something fascinating to the table, and, on top of it all, Natalie's voice is absolutely stunning. The harmonies and lyrics elevate this album beyond any pop album I've heard this year. One of the best of the year for sure. |

Igor
Strangely intriguing and abrasive synth-pop that has managed to capture my attention for longer than I feel it should have. Too many songs I love from this album, Earfquake, A Boy Is A Gun, What's Good, Gone Gone/ Thank You, Are We Still Friends, and more. Tyler has crafted something special here, and I'm left wondering if he'll continue this new direction, or go back to his roots on his next album. |

Injury Reserve
Eclectic rap that strangely feels somewhat accessible. The production blows my mind, and the beats and flows are insane. The features feel great, as all of them feel right at home here, and add their own style to this amalgamation of different sounds. One of the best rap albums of the year by far. |

Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones)
This album is mind-blowing on numerous occasions. This album is one of my favorite electronic albums, probably ever, with it's eclectic beats that introduce so many soundscapes and ideas into the fray that still feel fresh after numerous listens. It's super easy to see why this guy is sort of seen as a legend in the indie scene. |

Patterns in Mythology
Black metal that truly feels like a breath of fresh air. This album is hauntingly beautiful, with numerous memorable melodies and exhilarating moments throughout the album. This album feels like a journey from start to finish, and will captivate most anyone who gives it a chance, |
| 16 |  | Freddie Gibbs and Madlib
Bandana
Freddie Gibbs and Madlib hit another home run with Bandana. Five years after the smash success of the duo's debut Pinata, these two are back for more, with Madlib churning out numerous insane beats, and Freddie delivering fiery vengeance for the album's run time. It's a triumph that these two can remain so fresh despite the amount of time that's passed between their last collaboration. |
