Ghost IMPERATOUR 2022 - ATL
Got to see the Ghost IMPERATOUR last night in ALT - worth every penny!
Setlist: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/spiritbox/2022/gas-south-arena-duluth-ga-bb0a542.html. At just six songs, this opening set was about 2-3 songs too short. Could have used more here. All the set was great, but the performance of the industrially-tinged song "Rotoscope" really worked with their light show and was the highlight.
Hushed and Grim
Setlist: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/mastodon/2022/gas-south-arena-duluth-ga-13b0a54d.html. Rekindled my love of ... Crack the Skye. "The Czar" easily destroyed all the other songs, both visually and aurally, and was the highlight of their set. They played great for a hometown crowd, but could have trimmed the set by about two songs and ended with "the Czar", and I would have been punch drunk happy.
Setlist: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ghost/2022/gas-south-arena-duluth-ga-3b0a543.html. An incredible headlining show. Papa Emeritus IV's stage presence and banter was standout. The dueling guitarists were a highlight of the night, as well as the performance of Miasma (see the video on YouTube). The light show was sick! Only wish they had played "From the Pinnacle to the Pit", but otherwise a perfect set.
saw them on the pre-imperatour and seeing them on the imperatour next week. should be great. they played pinnacle last time
Yeah Tobias’ stage presence and banter with the crowd is genuinely the best I’ve ever seen live, he’s incredible.
I saw him at Sonisphere about 8 years ago before many people knew who they were and he had about 50k people smiling, laughing and loving the music for the whole set.
I only saw them on their first tour, it seems their venues have increased a bit since then.
South gas arena was the perfect size. Holds about 13,000 people total and was nearly full. Still bummed no Pinacle…
