12.14.23 | Didn't get to listen to Tesseract (War of Being), Kamelot (The Awakening), Katatonia (Sky Void of Stars), Ad Infinitum (Chapter III - Downfall), Sleep Token (Take Me Back to Eden), Vintersea (Woven into Ashes), or Haken (Fauna) - which may have moved into and up in my list. | JDubb
12.14.23 | Didn't really dig Metallica - 72 Seasons. Bought it, listened to it several times, and just found it "meh". Also found new Earthside album instrumentals to be great, but inclusion of vocals ( excluding Dan Tompkins) to be awkward. | Ladron93
12.15.23 | Ghost and Spiritbox are the ones I heard of. I like them the most.
In Flames' Foregone is alright, but I grew tired of its direction. I wish Anders Friden the best of him.
I haven't heard of Night Verses' one, I'll give it a listen later.

12.15.23 | Ghost and Spiritbox are lower in my list, only as these releases are EPs. Both are superb listens and I ranked both pretty high. Just prioritized actual albums (specifically 11 and 12) over EPs in this list. | LilLioness
12.15.23 | TesseracT is great. Shocked Otep is on here. I haven't liked them since Smash the Control Machine. | JDubb
12.15.23 | Yeah, OTEP is a hot take, but I have dug her recent releases from Generation Doom onward. And although not all the OGs and covers on The God Slayer are great - some are. | JDubb
12.17.23 | A few of my old favs (go-tos) - that I wasn't feeling this year: Suns of the Tundra - The Only Equation; Source - Emergence; Cyhra - The Vertigo Trigger; and Filter - The Algorithm. Maybe will give these another chance in 2024. |
