Another Great Take at McKays - Chattanooga, TN
Got a reprieve this week from Family duties and raced up to Chattanooga, TN to McKays. Really got to dig though the "scratched" and "bargain" bins this time, as well as look for other specific Bands I'm currently digging. Picked up #1 through #17 at McKays. Unfortunately, sometimes you don't find all that (or exactly what) you were looking for - so chased that trip up with a focused Amazon purchase of #18 through #20. |
1 | | Fu Manchu Daredevil
Another great Fu Manchu album found and bought. Was new in packaging for ~$4. |
2 | | Thrice The Alchemy Index Vols. I & II
Had bought this before (at a flea market), and only Vol II was in there. Happy now to have Vol I as well. Bought for ~$1. |
3 | | Beautiful Creatures Beautiful Creatures
Excited to hear DJ Ashba on this $0.25 album |
4 | | Black Sabbath Black Sabbath
MOJO Presents Heavy Nuggets. Had downloaded this some time past - finally got a hard copy of it for $1. |
5 | | Guano Apes Don't Give Me Names
A decent nu-metal band out of Deutscheland. Had not heard this album before. Another $1 purchase. |
6 | | Galactic Cowboys Feel the Rage
Really dig this band, especially their earlier and heavier albums. Found this for ~$3. |
7 | | Exotic Animal Petting Zoo I Have Made My Bed in Darkness
For the longest time, I have had a concert poster on my wall with Boy Hits Car. In the corner, it also had Exotic Animal Petting Zoo. Saw it and had to buy for $1. Finally got to listen to this album - wow. |
8 | | Kaipa Keyholder
Whenever I see something from the label Inside Out, I have to give it a spin. Found this for $1. A good progressive rock vibe. |
9 | | Truly Feeling You Up
Sadly, a relatively unknown from the Seattle grunge scene. Found for $1. |
10 | | Lamb of God Wrath
Never been a huge fan of LOG. However, for $1, will give it a try. One of my friends has been trying to get me to listen to this album for around a year now. |
11 | | Ozzy Osbourne The Essential Ozzy Osbourne
No More Tears - A Millenium Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Haven't listened to this yet, but 3 tribute CDs targeting Black Sabbath (Disc 1) and Ozzy Ozbourne up to 2012 (Discs 2 and 3). Hell yes - not passing up this $5 buy. |
12 | | Katatonia The Fall of Hearts
Had been looking for this for a while. Splurged - $8. |
13 | | Kingcrow In Crescendo
Was actually looking for King's X CDs. Found this for $4. |
14 | | Kingcrow The Persistence
Another for $4. Both are great prog metal albums from this Rome, IT band. |
15 | | Various Artists Tomb Raider: Original Soundtrack
Trolls Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Bought this for $1, as my boys dig it. |
16 | | Limp Bizkit Gold Cobra
Not a huge fan - but saw this for $1. Had to buy it to see if Fred Durst had matured out a bit. Guitar work is spectacular, as to be expected, but the rapping/lyrics are still juvenile. Oh well. |
17 | | Taproot Welcome
A $0.25 blast from my nu-metal past. |
18 | | Cyhra No Halos In Hell
I'm digging some Cyhra. Don't care what people say - Jesper Stromblad is back! And Jake E brings it as well. |
19 | | Killer Be Killed Reluctant Hero
Hell yes! Super excited about this album. |
20 | | Haken Virus
Finally splurged and purchased this beast of a prog metal album. |
