04.14.19 | In the car all my parents ever listened to was soul stuff from the 60s and 70s. I would insist on sticking Thriller in the tape player as I thought it was fucking amazing around 86-88. Little did I know then but I’d have been Michaels type. |

04.14.19 | My parents listen to nothing but radio country and Christian music so I didn’t inherit any of my music taste from them. So rock/pop etc music from my parents generation is not something I grew up listening to. In elementary school I listened to Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC and stuff, then later moved on to pop-punk such as Blink 182 and Good Charlotte and the more accessible nu metal like Linkin Park and POD. Then mainstream rap. Then more underground hip-hop. Then in the last couple years of high school around 2007-8 like faux emo and hot topic-core which put me on the path of seeking out new music online and my tastes developed from there. |

04.14.19 | My dad loved southern rock and had a lot of records. As a youngster I really enjoyed Eat a Peach, and now 20 some odd years later I dearly love southern rock. Good stuff. Always love listening to it when I don't feel like blasting hateful death metal and the like |

04.14.19 | My dad used to spin Alice Cooper- Welcome to My Nightmare on car drives. It worked cus i would dream about every song on that thing, a lot of my childhood dreams were based on my parents music. I'll make a list about it one day, it fucked me up a lil, probably why I'm now a messiah.

04.14.19 | Pokemon Silver soundtrack. I played that game nonstop on the game boy colour as a kid, so hearing a track from that game always takes me back to better times.
Later on as a young teen, 'The Very Best of Kiss' album would be my gateway into Rock and Metal music. Still one of my most nostalgic albums, even tho its a 'Best Of' haha. |

04.14.19 | I’m about to make my roadtrip to our cottage and, like always, I’m preparing the playlist.
Some of my great childhood memories are our roadtrips and the music we heard in the car, here some stuff I remember that brings sweet nostalgia:
Iron Maiden - Live After Death
Scorpions - World Wide Live
Marillion - Misplaced Childhood
Deep Purple - Machine Head
And all 80’s pop cheesy hit singles

04.14.19 | My parents had this 3-cd compilation of songs from old semi-obscure Disney stuff, like it had the song from the original Parent Trap movie and the Steamboat Willie music and the themes from DuckTales and Tailspin. I've legitimately probably listened to some of those songs over a hundred times.
Apart from that, just a spackling of random Beatles songs and early 2000s radio rock |

04.14.19 | Not an album, but I distinctly remember enjoying 'Over My Head' by Lit when I was younger as it was featured in the film Titan A.E. and my VHS tape had the music video after the film and a making of the film featurette. |
