This is a list of albums, in no particular order, that I feel changed music for me. I'd definitely recommend that you check these out!
1My Chemical Romance
The Black Parade

A record with a morbid fascination with death and the afterlife that kept me hooked for a year. A must listen for anyone invested/interested in modern rock.

Hospice

Pure sadness condensed into ten heartbreaking songs for your listening pleasure. Warning: May make you cry upon first listen.
3Beach House
Depression Cherry

Their best and most dreamy album, despite what the critics will say.
4Tame Impala
Currents

Psychedelic and pop have never sounded this good.
5Neutral Milk Hotel
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

An album so lyrically odd and sonically dense I still have no idea what it's actually about. An indie must listen.
