| The Beatles Albums Ranked
Ranking one of the greatest bands discographies was no easy task, but this is what I came up with, enjoy! | 12 | | The Beatles Please Please Me
The album that started it all. A nice mix of 50's style rock, doo wop, and mersey beat. Includes early Beatles classics alongside alot of covers. Overall, a great debut album, showing massive potential. It only ranks this low because of the lower amount of original material, but there's nothing weak about it. | 11 | | The Beatles Beatles for Sale
A solid early Beatles effort, not many stand out tracks but overall a good album. A step down in songwriting from their previous album, A Hard Days Night as there are alot more covers. The track 'No Reply' however is one of their greatest pre-Rubber Soul songs. | 10 | | The Beatles With the Beatles
A big step up from their first album, and only released 8 months later. It still has that classic Beatles sound, but more refined. I find myself coming back to this album alot more than I expected to when I first heard it- its definitely a grower. A highly underrated album | 9 | | The Beatles The Beatles
This album is extremely polarizing for me. Its almost as if they decided to group together their best and
worst songs all on one album. This would definitely be #1 on the list if they had made it a single album
unfortunately I had to take the average and the horrible 'Revolution 9' really impacts that, especially with its 9 minute running length. If Revolution 9 and a few other songs were removed it would be #1 or 2 on this list without a doubt. | 8 | | The Beatles Help!
What an album. I have no idea why this album is so low on so many lists. The last pure early Beatles album before the experimentation and drugs would change their sound forever (not a bad thing lol). The perfect combination of everything that made their early career great. Some of the best Beatles songs are on this
album. Help!, Ticket To Ride and Yesterday are all in my top 10. | 7 | | The Beatles A Hard Day's Night
The best of the Early Beatles. The songs are so simple yet so effective. It is the only early album with absolutely no covers, entirely written by Lennon-McCartney. Proof that they were the best songwriters of the 60s, maybe of all time. John Lennon definitely gives this album the spark that makes it so great with some of his best performances. The angry/negative lyrics on some songs also give this album an edge that the other early releases did not have. | 6 | | The Beatles Rubber Soul
The first of the Beatles 4 psychedelic albums. On this transitional album The Beatles stepped out of their rock and roll comfort zone and really started to focus on songwriting. The result is a classic album with a much more mature sound and interesting song structures. | 5 | | The Beatles Let It Be
The Beatles most underrated album in my opinion. Regardless of the conflict within the band, its a damn good album. It may lack the artistic merit of the 1966-1969 period, but as a straight up rock album, its awesome. Its a great mix of heavier beatles tracks such as
I've got a Feeling and ballads like Across The Universe. Dig A Pony also deserves more attention than it gets. Its undoubtedly one of their best for me. | 4 | | The Beatles Abbey Road
Definitely a classic album and one of their best for sure. The medley on side two is one of the greatest things I've ever heard in my life and that's no exaggeration. The way the songs flow is pure genius. Side 1 also has some masterpieces but unfortunately also has some songs I'm not too crazy about. I Want You (She's So Heavy) is pretty good but drags on way to long for my taste. Octopuses Garden and Maxwell's Silver Hammer are fun but drag down the album a bit. The high points on the album are so great that it easily outweighs the lesser tracks. | 3 | | The Beatles Revolver
Ok the next 3 albums are all from the best period of their career, the psychedelic years! The Beatles perfected their psychedelic sound (and psychedelia in general) with this masterpiece album, after the transitional Rubber Soul. They took whatever was great about Rubber Soul and expanded it into a full
album. It was a groundbreaking release that pushed the boundaries of rock at the time. I also find myself listening to it more than any other Beatles album although Its not my absolute favorite. | 2 | | The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour
The songs on this album are simply timeless classics. I Am The Walrus, Fool on the Hill, Strawberry Fields, Hello Goodbye the list goes on and on. This is the kind of album that you can listen to for life and never get sick of. | 1 | | The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
This album changed the course of rock forever, pushing the boundaries of experimentation, the studio itself and the album format. You can thank this album for the birth of progressive rock too. What can you say about one of the greatest albums of all time, just fuckin listen to it, every song is a classic (ya even Good Morning, Good Morning) | |

07.05.17 | Why is the white album so low? I think it will be my favorite after sergent pepper. And Let it be should be lower. Then exchange abbey road with magical mystery shit and I agree with you. | neekafat
07.05.17 | Yeah nah | TheLongShot
07.05.17 | Listing the White Album at 9 should be a criminal offense. Also Abbey Road is lock top 3, my personal #1 | TheLongShot
07.05.17 | Also 12 should be higher | thefloydios

| bgillesp
07.05.17 | Sgt Peppers isn't even top 10 albums from 1967. Revolver is their best | furpa
07.05.17 | Yo that long winded instrumental outro to She's So Heavy is what makes that song so fucking sick haha. | Gyromania
07.05.17 | Honestly Abbey road shits all over Sgt peppers. There's so much filler in the middle, I'll never understand why it's so acclaimed | DominionMM1
07.05.17 | because that filler isn't actually filler | thefloydios
07.05.17 | furpa- ya the outro is great but everything leading up to it is just too repetitive for me.
Gyromania- I don't think its filler at all, to each his own I guess. What I consider filler are songs/ideas that have already been attempted by a band. The stuff in the middle of sgt pepper is all fresh | guitarded_chuck
07.05.17 | good ranking, agreed let it be's underrated |
