spent the last couple months digging into this discog after previously never hearing more than a song or two. very fun very entertaining very consistent band. a fun good time. at or near the top of my list of bands to see live now anyways bear with my lack of sputnik-list-making ability and the errors that are bound to fill this list. hope i did this right
at first i really felt like this was a "gimmicky" band until realizing that was the point and embracing the fun ideas. only thing though is that however aesthetically pleasing four exactly 10:10 songs is, it's the worst gimmick not utilized in any cool way. some good songwriting though 7/10
i know nothing about thrash metal besides the 5 metallica songs and like 3 other thrash songs everybody knows through the pop cult. can't really judge the quality of thrash though some riff patterns are undoubtedly repeated a bit much. still, jams hella hard and is peak fun gizz nonsense 7/10
feel the narration is over-hated. kinda makes it an "experience" rather than album for me ig, but that doesn't excuse the p bad songwriting in half of this. the other half, and overall creativity is amazing tho 7/10
this lies just out of gizzard's best for me. even though i love the microtones like everyone, sometimes the way they're used really is just not all that interesting. has some killer shit here though like open water and rattlesnake 7/10
Nonagon is the best yeah, agree Mache is the best of their lighter sound, ranking is pretty accurate overall imo, I used to like Gumboot Soup but I dont like it anymore which is weird to me
Honestly, nah i get it. as long as 1 and 2 are in your top 3 then I support u unless like 15 is ur 1. but they're so consistent I can understand any of the top 7 being someone's fave.
