| Mechina Ranked | 1 | | Mechina As Embers Turn To Dust
Embers was the first Mechina album I listened to so there very well may be a bias to me putting this at the top, but this feels like the most well realized version of an album the band has created. The album has a tremendous flow from song to song, with lots of diversity. Tracks Aetherion Rain and Thus Always to Tyrants do wonders for breaking up the pace of things, the contour of this album is simply remarkable and it's consistently fantastic from start to finish. | 2 | | Mechina Telesterion
Spots one and two can be interchangeable but both are my favorites by the band. Both take strides in the more growled vocal tracks to make them stand on the same level of the Mel Rose tracks. Tyrannos is one of the best growled vocal Mechina tracks without a doubt, with exceptional songwriting that makes the song feel very memorable. | 3 | | Mechina Progenitor
Progenitor is a big step in the right direction after Acheron, but some of the songs can be forgettable, such as Anagenesis or Planetfall. What this album has though are two of the greatest Mel Rose cuts to date, in Cryoshock and The Horizon Effect, these songs are still some of the best in their catalog without a doubt. The songwriting on these two songs is exceptionally strong (something that can't be said for the band's most recent material). The contrast of the lush soundscapes and the heavy riffing is absolutely marvelous. | 4 | | Mechina Acheron
Acheron is where the Mechina discography becomes a bit more interesting, although a lot of the album is as samey as the previous three, there are some contrasting moments (hallelujah) that break up the monotony a bit, most notably the song Ode to the Forgotten Few. Ode is absolutely gorgeous and stands as a highlight in the bands catalog, it's just Mel Rose singing over ambient soundscapes and it truly feels emotional and impactful. | 5 | | Mechina Empyrean
Autopilot but it's heavier | 6 | | Mechina Conqueror
Autopilot but it's heavier | 7 | | Mechina Xenon
Autopilot but it's heavier. The first trilogy of albums in Mechina's cannon is an essential one absolutely, which tells the story of the main character in this concept. The albums though lack variety with the songs sounding identical to each other continuously. These albums remain as simply solid metal albums that do what they are set out to do which is lay down some fun meaty chuggy fun riffs and it succeeds at doing so. | 8 | | Mechina Siege
Autopilot | 9 | | Mechina Venator
Autopilot | 10 | | Mechina Cenotaph
Autopilot. Mechina's current era is ungodly boring, with each song being identical to the other. None of these songs reach the heights of Cryoshock which is the bands most popular song for a reason | |

07.03.23 | used to love mechina. havent heard any of your top 4. have you heard assembly of tyrants or tyrannical resurrection? | Tundra
07.04.23 | they'd probably go in the Conquerer > Xenon area | XfingTheSullen
07.17.23 | cryoshock doesn't have "extremely strong" songwriting. it's just entertaining in its monotony, which pretty much is the only thing that justifies a monotonous song | Tundra
07.17.23 | the songwriting is better than on their 3 most recent albums imo | XfingTheSullen
07.19.23 | well that doesn't speak very well of those albums that's for sure |
