03.01.17 | 1 and 2 have been resonating with me a lot lately, and five is probably going to be one of my favorite albums of the year. |
kascetcadettt
03.01.17 | thanks for letting us know |
BigBlob
03.01.17 | wow thanks for this. |
Nocturtle
03.01.17 | bruh review the new lorna shore album |
danielito19
03.01.17 | What if someone were to review all these right before you did? |
Joeman82
03.01.17 | Interested in the Pokémon gen 4 soundtrack review |
FullOfSounds
03.01.17 | ye now i can have a thread to gush the fuck out about that game |
Dewinged
03.01.17 | What is it 1 like man? it appeals me |
Xenorazr
03.01.17 | Would love to see you do 3 next. Be interesting to see that dissected. |
Dedes
03.01.17 | I'm oddly interested in seeing you review Falling In Reverse, like they're a loathed band but you always seem to dig this type of shit and actually convince me to listen to it sometimes. You unknowingly convinced me to listen to "We Stitch These Wounds" and it wasn't too bad.
|
Snide
03.01.17 | @Dewinged: Ambient as fuck is a nice way to describe it, it'll be detailed in full when I post the review.
@Noc: Flesh Coffin is pretty lit so I might review it.
@King: I gave a positive review of Falling in Reverse's second album as well, and from what this new album is sounding like so far it's gonna be even better than that one. That's my aim with a lot of my reviews, I at least want people to give the music a chance, they don't even have to like it.
@Everyone Else: So it seems like a few of you want me to review the Pokemon Diamond / Pearl soundtrack next? I'm down for that, I made an Arceus remix a while ago so I've worked with that soundtrack actually lol. |
Nocturtle
03.01.17 | do it braj
3 should be a cool review as well |
Snide
03.01.17 | @Noc: 1 is gonna be a concept review. Something new that I haven't tried before (not a story review like some of my previous ones), it's a weird idea, but it's also a weird album so I think I'll enjoy writing it. Yeah I'm gonna write a review for the Diamond / Pearl soundtrack after this. I'm seriously excited for Diamond / Pearl remakes.

dreamgazing
03.01.17 | 3 hell yes |
Snide
03.01.17 | Yeah I can't wait to review the Diamond / Pearl soundtrack |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
03.01.17 | I sure cannot wait for 3 |
ZippaThaRippa
03.01.17 | The Diamond / Pearl soundtrack was insane. That snazzy little forest piece used to constantly get stuck in my head. Good games. Too bad there isn't a good DS emulator out there |
Snide
03.01.17 | It's a three hour long soundtrack, I enjoyed basically every minute of it.
I need to listen to it a few more times before I review it though. I still play Platinum / etc on my 3DS so I don't need an emulator. |
ZippaThaRippa
03.01.17 | Well I don't have a 3DS, rich bitch
besides once you've played Pokemon Reborn, no pokemon game will ever cut it for you again |
Snide
03.01.17 | Dude I have four Pokemon tattooed on me, I have an obligation to play every Pokemon release out there. |
ZippaThaRippa
03.01.17 | Which pokemon
and where |
ZippaThaRippa
03.01.17 | Met a guy who had gotten one of those regrettable hooker stars tattooed on his inner thigh. He had it covered over to a Staryu. Fucking ace. |
Feather
03.01.17 | I'm considering a review of 7 cus I really liked the second single and I'm a DIYLF fan boy. |
Feather
03.01.17 | The Pokemon seems like a little bit of a waste of time. btw how is sun and moon? I wanna buy a 3DS jsut for that game tbh |
hal1ax
03.01.17 | ash review'em |
Snide
03.01.17 | @Zippa: I've got Darkrai on my lower left arm, Celebi on the upper part of my left bicep, Haunter on the back part of my upper left arm, and Mega Sableye on my left shoulder. Damn a Staryu tattoo that's pretty lit.
@Feather: See I don't like DIYLF that much, I enjoy FIRs other works a lot more. Sun and Moon is honestly the best they've released since Gen 3. I absolutely love it, but they did mess up on a few things. |
Feather
03.01.17 | cool I'll probably end up playing it at some point. The fact that you like Dead Rabbits and FIR more than Old BTF and ETF is incomprehendable to me. |
Dedes
03.01.17 | Megas are mostly dumb but there are some bomb ass legendaries out there. Think i'd dig something like a Rayquaza spiraling down my arms or something. |
ZippaThaRippa
03.01.17 | No, the addition of megas is something I'll never agree with |
Dedes
03.01.17 | It's pointless but like hell what are you gonna do, lol panders to all the young kids but it's not like it matters. Why do hate legendary pokemon though? |
ZippaThaRippa
03.01.17 | Legendaries are cool and all but using them takes the challenge out of an already easy game. I always thought it was more fun to build a team and then tinker. |
Feather
03.01.17 | I just wish the games had difficulty settings so kids can play the easy modes and we can have more of a challenge. |
Nazzadan
03.01.17 | I was talking to a member of 6 in a Mario Golf speedrun twitch channel yesterday, weird that the band would pop up right after that. |
Dedes
03.01.17 | Yeah I feel you man. Some people load their teams with legendaries on games like pokemon showdown and it's like wow look how stereotypical you are lol |
Snide
03.01.17 | Showdown's playerbase is incredibly predictable though. Literally if you have answers to Lando-T and Chansey you can rank 1700+ easy.
Megas are fine, I don't feel too strongly about them one way or the other, except for Mega Beedrill, M-Bee is badass.
@Feather: New Dead Rabbitts is looking to be one of the best things that Craig has ever done, if the song "Burn It Down" is anything to go off of. |
SteakByrnes
03.01.17 | Diamond and Pearl are my least favorite in both game and music, but I'd like to read that review when you write it |
Snide
03.01.17 | Why exactly were Diamond and Pearl your least favorite? |
SteakByrnes
03.01.17 | They were incredibly slow dude! The battles took forever, the game speed was at a sloth-like pace, surfing was actually torturous, etc. The music never grabbed me either, which was a shame because Hoenn's OST was phenomenal and I wanted to hear if they could do for the DS games. Plus a lot of the new Pokemon just were not that great, both design wise and stat wise.
However I have to give 4th gen as a whole props for what it did to competitive battling. Physical/Special split, Garchomp, STEALTH ROCKS MY GUY, more choice items, better held items in general. |
Snide
03.02.17 | @Steak: They did fix the surf speed in Platinum and boosted the pacing a little bit. The music was honestly one of the best parts of Diamond and Pearl for me; don't get me wrong, Gen 3 is my favorite gen, but shit like Arceus's theme was so memorable. Design wise my favorite Pokemon of all time Darkrai came from Gen 4 so I can't be mad at that gen. |
Spec
03.02.17 | Did you do SS? |
Conmaniac
03.02.17 | 1 def needs a review so nice |
SteakByrnes
03.02.17 | Yea Platinum fixed a lot of what was wrong with Diamond and Pearl, plus the Distortion World was insane.
Darkrai is a savage, I love that thing. Salamence has always been my favorite Pokemon, ever since I saw Drake throw it out in Ruby I immediately loved it |
Snide
03.02.17 | Distortion World was fucking great, and Origin Form Giritina was an absolutely fantastic idea both design and concept wise.
@Con: Yeah 1 will be my next review, a 5/5.
@Spec: SS? You mean Suicide Silence? |
Dedes
03.02.17 | I liked arceus but he was a boggling pokemon because now who's the real OH pokemon? Mew, or him? It's conflicting as hell |
Snide
03.02.17 | Arceus is the origin of all Pokemon, Mew is the ancestor of all Pokemon.
Sorta like the big bang compared to the first bacteria, if ya get what I'm saying. |
Dedes
03.02.17 | You know who should've been the first pokemon? Ditto. I mean fuck he's basic enough to be literally anything. |
SteakByrnes
03.02.17 | Isn't Ditto just failed clones of Mew tho? |
SteveOffProbation
03.02.17 | yea |
Emim
03.02.17 | It's not a schedule unless there is a time frame associated. |
Snide
03.02.17 | Mew has the same transformation abilities as Ditto. |
EphemeralEternity
03.02.17 | 1 does desperately need a review, it's definitely the paragon of the vaporwave genre, not that there's an overabundance of competition or anything |
Dewinged
03.02.17 | I was gonna say I can't wait for 1, looks interesting... But I see you guys are busy with Pokemons so I... I'll see myself out. Excuse me. |
Snide
03.02.17 | There's some good vaporwave gems, but 1 definitely takes the cake as the best I've ever heard from the genre. |
DrGonzo1937
03.02.17 | "What if someone were to review all these right before you did?"
You've blown my plan. |
EphemeralEternity
03.02.17 | shame the follow up to 1 was overproduced bland electronic that failed to capture the same endearing/nostalgic/oriental atmosphere.
In fact i might have to steal your thunder and review it tonight |
Feather
03.02.17 | Alright I gave Burn it Down a shot, it did nothing for me tho |
Snide
03.02.17 | You didn't like Burn It Down?
Next review is either gonna be the Diamond / Pearl soundtrack review, or a re-edit of one of my older reviews reposted. |
Feather
03.03.17 | Nah, I think I'm just over Craig's music. The only thing I really ever liked for him was His Last Walk and his TWA demos |
SteakByrnes
03.03.17 | Same, although that new Dead Rabbits track is impressive on the vocal front, I forgot how good Craig is at screaming |
Feather
03.03.17 | I agree, the screaming is great, the song is just bleh |
SteakByrnes
03.03.17 | The last time I saw The Word Alive, Escape The Fate was there as well. They played Casanova Rodeo and Craig joined them for it, it was phenomenal |
