| Albums I love from bands I don't
I have found that I have beloved albums where I really don't love or or even care for the bands other work. Here are a few examples. | 1 | | The Who Who's Next
I like other works from the band and have much respect for their output, but If I play Who, it is almost aways this, which is a top 5 album for me. | 2 | | Radiohead In Rainbows
I want to love Radiohead, really like Kid A, but their output usually leaves me thinking or wanting more. but not this, this is a pretty easy 5. | 3 | | Wilco The Whole Love
Most long time Wilco fans thinks this as a passing fancy, complaining about it as "noise" I dont see it; the first 15 minutes of this album is smoking and refreshingly unique, I find much of there other stuff fine, its good, but does nothing for me after that. | 4 | | The Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream
my fave album from that period, the mood and atmosphere through the whole album still puts me in a warm, fuzzy, trance. I find the rest of their output mostly uninspiring | 5 | | The Moody Blues Days of Future Passed
speaking of moods. I'm a sucker for concept albums and this one is just magical, however the rest of their output seems very corny and mainstream | 6 | | Deep Purple Machine Head
Like the Who's Next this is probably a top 5 album for me, I like some other Dp, In Rock, Fireball I like but nowhere near my appreciation for this beauty, which is another very easy 5 | 7 | | Aerosmith Toys in the Attic
Aerosmith are lots of fluff IMO, this is a masterpeice,
I know they are called the poor mans Stones. But maybe its more like the poor mans Grand Funk Railroad | |
