I was one of only three guys, with about 12 ladies who wore lots of tie dye and /or flowing linen outfits. there was much meditation and sharing of thoughts on pillows in a circle. I've never considered myself attractive but back then I wasn't chubby and old like I am now, and I got some really strong eye contact and some really pointed remarks from some of the ladies which made me slightly uncomfortable lmao

Not exactly a thriller of an outcome but I got 2 4/5 scores, which accounts for half the 4/5 scores this year (no 5/5s) in my school as a whole. I tested 32 students and got 2 4s and the rest of the school tested 106 students and got 2 4s, so I guess I did okay. Individual students had gotten 4s on previous rounds of AP Lit testing at my school but never two... 15 1s (which was also part of the outcome) pisses me off though. Standard-issue for this school but what the fuck, at least get a 2

Why did the English build them like that? Because the first rail lines were built by the same people who built the wagon tramways, and that's the gauge they used. Why did the wagons have that particular odd wheel spacing? Well, if they tried to use any other spacing, the wagon wheels would break more often on some of the old, long distance roads in England. You see, that's the spacing of the wheel ruts. So who built those old rutted roads? Imperial Rome built the first long distance roads in Europe (including England) for their legions. Those roads have been used ever since. And what about the ruts in the roads? Since the chariots were made for Imperial Rome, they were all alike in the matter of wheel spacing. Therefore, the United States standard railroad gauge of 4 feet, 8.5 inches is derived from the original specifications for an Imperial Roman war chariot. Bureaucracies live forever. So the next time you are handed a specification/procedure/process and wonder 'What horse's ass came up with this?', you may be exactly right. Trundle 07.30.24	I always really enjoy watching volleyball in the Olympics, beach or otherwise, men's and women's, I don't understand why it's not more popular because it can get super intense during a long rally. Meanwhile American football rakes in close to 13 billion annually, even though there's only on average 13 minutes of game action per game, and the players get like a 3 minute break after about 15 seconds of effort.
