Papa Universe
04.08.18 | unless I am talking to someone (and even then not certainly), I usually have my ears plugged in with headphones or there is just something playing at the background. I just need it all the time. nighttime is the only time silence is acceptable. |
DoofusWainwright
04.08.18 | Somewhere between 2 and a half and 3 and a half days of every 7 days according to LastFM - aka too much. |
Casavir
04.08.18 | A lot. |
SteakByrnes
04.08.18 | A shit ton. If I'm not in class, I'm usually listening to music |
Beautiful
04.08.18 | 5 and a half minutes every day |
Zeuzo
04.08.18 | An hour or 2 everyday |
CaimanJesus
04.08.18 | It ranges from 2ish hours to 12 ish depending on how busy I am/ what mood I'm in |
BigBlob
04.08.18 | at least 6 hours a day. 5 of them at work |
Demon of the Fall
04.08.18 | About 8-9 hours a day if I’m at work. A lot less at weekends, maybe only an hour a day on average. Most non-work listening is either on the commute or weekday evenings hence the huge difference.
On those work days it’s usually the equivalent of 3 albums with headphones on average & the rest is without. Obviously the headphone sessions are more ‘immersive’ |
combustion07
04.08.18 | I get to wear headphones at work but I listen to audiobooks and podcasts too. Probably about 30 hours a week |
Rolling Girl
04.08.18 | I don't listen much more than an hour or so per day, if at all. Not counting when I'm walking between classes. |
bloc
04.08.18 | My listening is done at the gym and work only. Barely listen to music at home tbh. |
MeatSalad
04.08.18 | Maybe 2-3 hours at home on occasion, rest is done at work or while going to/from work, probably 6 hours a day on average |
Deathconscious
04.08.18 | some weeks i might go hard and listen to 3/4 albums a day. other weeks i might listen to one album every other day or so. it varies. |
LamboGD
04.08.18 | Having a job where you can play music sounds so chill. Would probably have listened a lot more in that case |
MeatSalad
04.08.18 | From my perspective it is chill, but more often than not if you have a job that allows you to wear phones and listen to music all shift, it means your job is also completely mindless |

04.08.18 | Yeah I'm a janitor so it's pretty mindless lol pay is good though. And I listen to The Great Courses college lectures so I feel like my brain isn't becoming a vegetable |
MotokoKusanagi
04.08.18 | i'm a software developer so i listen to music at work for 5-8 hours, another 3 hours during commute (there and back), and then a few more hours at home depending on what i'm doing that night |

Dedes
04.09.18 | I'll have occasional weeks where I'm not jamming for 2 or 3 days but generally I probably listen throughout most of the day. Things are gonna get more hectic soon however so I do expect my listening will be cut drastically. |
Koris
04.09.18 | I almost always have my headphones on while in my civilian clothes, so yeah... a lot |
Koris
04.09.18 | I also have speakers in my office where I frequently put music on, so even in uniform, I listen to music daily |
BlazinBlitzer
04.09.18 | It's really gotten to be a lot at this point. If you're counting for ambient music during my essays, I'd go with something as high as 6 hours a day and about 45 hours a week.
"5 and a half minutes every day"
So when you play something like Bohemian Rhapsody, do you end the song five and a half minutes in and finish the rest the next day or what? What's that experience like for you? |
hexfix93
04.09.18 | Basically whenever I can. 7 hours a day on average, more or less. |
Demon of the Fall

bloc
04.09.18 | "Seriously man, what the feck? That's the best time."
Haha I know, but that's just how it works out on weekdays especially. When I come home, I'll do any of the above: go to the gym, go on Youtube, watch a movie, play guitar, make beats, until it's time to sleep. If I happen to be home on a weekend evening, then I might listen to music but that's about it. |
onionbubs
04.09.18 | i usually go through like 8-10 albums a day, but yea it depends on what im doing throughout the day |
Demon of the Fall
04.09.18 | @bloc: Less Youtube, less movies, more music.
Simple. You still get to keep fit & make music yourself. Demon - telling you how to live life since 2018. |
guitarded_chuck
04.09.18 | 0 to 24 hours a day |
bloc
04.09.18 | Haha yeah it seems pretty simple: sub out the video for audio. But I need something to do while I'm listening to music too, since I'm not much of an internet browser anymore. Hence why I go for the videos. |
Demon of the Fall
04.09.18 | I play video games whilst listening to music at home, usually something mindless enough that I can still concentrate on the jams. |
bloc
04.09.18 | Ah true, I am playing a game right now but I really really really like the soundtrack in it. You can't win me over man haha. |
TwigTW
