| My Radiohead Ranking
Well, to say Radiohead are an amazing band would be an understatement. rMy favorite band of rrrall time. And I think I finally pinned down my ranking for rthem, now that I've spinned all their rrralbums with a 110% close ear. Some rgrew on me, some grew off me. Anyway, here it is. What rrrare your rRadiohead rankings? | 1 | | Radiohead OK Computer
This is my favorite album of all time, of course it's number one. Evidently followed closely by the second album on this list, but
surpasses it. OK Computer is a complete, consistent, diverse, heart-wrenching, soul-taking, horrifying, innovative, creative,
miraculous work of art with a track list that includes 11 of the best songs ever made. And bonus tracks? Polyethylene rules so
fucking hard. This album introduced me to a different dimension of music, parallel to the music I used to be a fan of. This album
resembles the impression that I have of the world we live in today: it's so scary but it can be, indeed, beautiful. 10/10. | 2 | | Radiohead Kid A
Another one of my favorite albums. Electronica done in such a weird, emotional but still so fucking perfect way. From the oddly
dancable and paranoid opener "Everything In It's Right Place", right to the spazzic madness in the form of "The National
Anthem", the melancholic "How To Disappear Completely", the schizophrenic tune that is Idioteque, the atmospheric, mind-
blowing Morning Bell, right to the heart-wrenching closer "Motion Picture Soundtrack", Kid A is an unmatchable masterpiece
that, along with OK Computer, shaped the best band of all time. 10/10. | 3 | | Radiohead Hail To The Thief
Hail To The Thief used to be one of my least favorite Radiohead records, but it just grew so hard on me. Almost every flaw I
saw in it is gone. The Gloaming never fails to get my feet stomping on the floor, Suck Young Blood is such a hauntingly
gorgeous ballad, Punch Up At A Wedding is an underrated track and A Wolf At The Door is one of the best album closers ever.
9.5/10. | 4 | | Radiohead Amnesiac
Closely following Hail To The Thief, here's Kid B! Amnesiac's disc 1 is an upper 4, but the bonus tracks in this make it so much
better. The live version of Like Spinning Plates, the tribal-drum-guided The Amazing Sounds Of Orgy, the burst of happiness
that is Worrywort and the brilliant Fog. Not to mention some of my favorite songs on disc 1, like the melancholic Pyramid Song,
the anthemic You And Whose Army?, the brilliant Knives Out and the perfect closer, Life In A Glasshouse. 9.3/10. | 5 | | Radiohead In Rainbows
And if Amnesiac has an advantage on having a second disc, In Rainbows' makes it fall flat on it's face, from number 3 to number
5 on my Radiohead books. Disc 1 is the best Radiohead have done since the legendary OK Computer/Kid A era, but Disc 2 has
too much filler. I would just take Last Flowers (one of the most beautiful things ever) and Down Is The New Up, and chop them
into the first disc's track list. Oh well. 9.1/10. | 6 | | Radiohead The King Of Limbs
Radiohead's most recent album to date is an explosion of weirdness, creativity, experimentation and mature sound. Of course,
some experimentation falls flat on it's face and drags (Supercollider, Morning Mr. Magpie, Little By Little), but most of album is
pure genious and sheer brilliance. Ace tracks swarm this album's track list, like Bloom, Codex, Give Up The Ghost, Feral and the
two bonus tracks (The Daily Mail and Staircase). I can't see how some self-called "Radiohead fans" don't care about this at all.
8.8/10. | 7 | | Radiohead The Bends
Early Radiohead at their very best. Many consider The Bends to be a classic because of it's consistency in sound and brilliant
stand-out tracks (The Bends, Fake Plastic Trees, Bulletproof, Black Star, Street Spirit). But The Bends lacks consistency in the
music itself. Opener "Planet Telex" is a good song, but it isn't anything engaging for the rest of the album. Bones and Sulk are
filler tracks that have nothing special about them. Let's just say that The Bends was a brit-rock quintet's preparation for a
bright future ahead of them. 8.6/10. | 8 | | Radiohead Pablo Honey
Everybody knows this is the worst Radiohead album, I don't have to explain my thoughts on it. It has some good songs, though.
5/10. | |

02.15.14 | This list is still being made...but I'm just going to say I like Amnesiac the best and Kid A, although also amazing, is massively overrated. | Alastor
02.15.14 | your avatar gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside | musicalmedicine
02.15.14 | Already done, man. Kid A is my 2 and Amnesiac is my 4, as you can see. Amnesiac's disc 1 alone would be in a lower position, but man those bonus tracks. Kid A is a 5 in my books, it's perfection. | musicalmedicine
02.15.14 | Ringo always does that to his fangirls, I guess. | Pheromone
02.15.14 | 1,5,7,2,4,8,3
I've yet to listen to 6
Edit:
OKC & In Rainbows are 4.5s
The Bends is a 4
The rest are 3- | ArsMoriendi
02.15.14 | It's funny the first time I ever heard Amnesiac I was put into a trance by the first 10 songs and "Life in a Glasshouse"
woke be up with its completely different sound. I had already heard Radiohead's first 4 albums at this time, but this one
was different; it had brainwashed me. "I Might Be Wrong" specifically was the most intoxicating of them all. Although Kid
A's "Morning Bell" is slightly better than Amnesiac's. | musicalmedicine
02.15.14 | Hail To The Thief is really, really good, man. At least we agree with 1. | ArsMoriendi
02.15.14 | I mean I'll never argue if OK Computer is put at #1 since its my #2. "Airbag" especially would probably make my 5 favorite Radiohead songs of all time. | Pheromone
02.15.14 | Always found it to be really boring personally; But I do get the appeal so all to their own :) | musicalmedicine
02.15.14 | @Moriendi, Amnesiac is an addicting album. The first time I listened to it (only disc 1, yeah), I played it to death. It sounded and still sounds so weird but so acommodating for a weird guy like me. With time the second half grew a little off me, but then I discovered the second disc, and damn, most songs in that should be on disc 1. I'm gonna make a list with the track list I listen to, with some bonus tracks chopped into disc 1's list. | Insurrection
02.15.14 | okc,
in rainbows,
amnesiac/kid a,
the bends,
httt,
king of limbs,
havent heard pablo | musicalmedicine
02.15.14 | @Nerd, I get you man, word! I wasn't really fond of HTTT at first, it actually was my least favorite Radiohead record, Pablo Honey aside. But I grew to love it's variety and diverse sound, it mixtures the band's electronic and rocking elements so well, retaining the atmospheric and creepy sound of Kid A and OK Computer. | musicalmedicine
02.15.14 | @Insurrection, it isn't really worth it anyway man. Out of it I enjoy "Creep", "Thinking About You", "Anyone Can Play Guitar", "Blow Out" and "Stop Whispering". Rest is filler. | ArsMoriendi
02.15.14 | @musicalmedicine It's funny I don't listen to any of those songs from Pablo, I only really listen to "You" and "I Can't", to
me the rest is filler lol. It's funny, no matter how much Radiohead fans will disagree, Pablo Honey is ALWAYS last. | Pheromone
02.15.14 | It really isn't that good but I think most of the hate directed at it is due to the quality of Radioheads latter works. | ArsMoriendi
02.15.14 | "Even though I might, even though I try, I can't" I guess are fitting lyrics for Pablo Honey haha. | musicalmedicine
02.15.14 | Eheheh, yes, @Moriendi. I actually don't listen to any Pablo Honey material on a daily basis, but the songs I mentioned above are the ones that actually please me on that record. Eheheh, nice one on your last comment.
@Nerd, probably, yeah. Give it a couple more spins, maybe it will work out for you like it did for me. If it doesn't, well, all to their own :] | Pheromone
02.15.14 | I was actually on about Pablo haha, sorry for the confusion.
As for HTTF I guess it's not my style of music, I've given it a few spins so I'm not too fussed especially as it came right before In Rainbows which is close to their opus | menawati
02.15.14 | whats a 110% close ear ? | jtswope
02.15.14 | At least you show The Gloaming some love! | ArsMoriendi
02.15.14 | Hey guys have you heard the duet Thom Yorke did with PJ Harvey? | musicalmedicine
02.15.14 | @Nerd, oh, haha, sorry, my bad! In Rainbows' first disc is bliss, but it's ranking position is also due to it's second disc.
@Fear, I used to think like that too, but damn I grew to love it so much. Limbs is amazing too, I just wish Little By Little and Mr. Magpie would be replaced by The Daily Mail and Staircase. Easy 5 there.
@menawati, you know, when you listen to music with a close ear, when you focus only on what you're listening to and you don't do other stuff while listening to the music. Yeah, that.
@Moriendi, didn't, but just got stoked about it! Will search that up.

02.16.14 | The bends is way too low, amnesiac and HTTT way too high. | tommygun
