My Radiohead Ranking

Well, to say Radiohead are an amazing band would be an understatement. rMy favorite band of rrrall time. And I think I finally pinned down my ranking for rthem, now that I've spinned all their rrralbums with a 110% close ear. Some rgrew on me, some grew off me. Anyway, here it is. What rrrare your rRadiohead rankings?
1Radiohead
OK Computer

This is my favorite album of all time, of course it's number one. Evidently followed closely by the second album on this list, but
surpasses it. OK Computer is a complete, consistent, diverse, heart-wrenching, soul-taking, horrifying, innovative, creative,
miraculous work of art with a track list that includes 11 of the best songs ever made. And bonus tracks? Polyethylene rules so
fucking hard. This album introduced me to a different dimension of music, parallel to the music I used to be a fan of. This album
resembles the impression that I have of the world we live in today: it's so scary but it can be, indeed, beautiful. 10/10.
2Radiohead
Kid A

Another one of my favorite albums. Electronica done in such a weird, emotional but still so fucking perfect way. From the oddly
dancable and paranoid opener "Everything In It's Right Place", right to the spazzic madness in the form of "The National
Anthem", the melancholic "How To Disappear Completely", the schizophrenic tune that is Idioteque, the atmospheric, mind-
blowing Morning Bell, right to the heart-wrenching closer "Motion Picture Soundtrack", Kid A is an unmatchable masterpiece
that, along with OK Computer, shaped the best band of all time. 10/10.
3Radiohead
Hail To The Thief

Hail To The Thief used to be one of my least favorite Radiohead records, but it just grew so hard on me. Almost every flaw I
saw in it is gone. The Gloaming never fails to get my feet stomping on the floor, Suck Young Blood is such a hauntingly
gorgeous ballad, Punch Up At A Wedding is an underrated track and A Wolf At The Door is one of the best album closers ever.
9.5/10.
4Radiohead
Amnesiac

Closely following Hail To The Thief, here's Kid B! Amnesiac's disc 1 is an upper 4, but the bonus tracks in this make it so much
better. The live version of Like Spinning Plates, the tribal-drum-guided The Amazing Sounds Of Orgy, the burst of happiness
that is Worrywort and the brilliant Fog. Not to mention some of my favorite songs on disc 1, like the melancholic Pyramid Song,
the anthemic You And Whose Army?, the brilliant Knives Out and the perfect closer, Life In A Glasshouse. 9.3/10.
5Radiohead
In Rainbows

And if Amnesiac has an advantage on having a second disc, In Rainbows' makes it fall flat on it's face, from number 3 to number
5 on my Radiohead books. Disc 1 is the best Radiohead have done since the legendary OK Computer/Kid A era, but Disc 2 has
too much filler. I would just take Last Flowers (one of the most beautiful things ever) and Down Is The New Up, and chop them
into the first disc's track list. Oh well. 9.1/10.
6Radiohead
The King Of Limbs

Radiohead's most recent album to date is an explosion of weirdness, creativity, experimentation and mature sound. Of course,
some experimentation falls flat on it's face and drags (Supercollider, Morning Mr. Magpie, Little By Little), but most of album is
pure genious and sheer brilliance. Ace tracks swarm this album's track list, like Bloom, Codex, Give Up The Ghost, Feral and the
two bonus tracks (The Daily Mail and Staircase). I can't see how some self-called "Radiohead fans" don't care about this at all.
8.8/10.
7Radiohead
The Bends

Early Radiohead at their very best. Many consider The Bends to be a classic because of it's consistency in sound and brilliant
stand-out tracks (The Bends, Fake Plastic Trees, Bulletproof, Black Star, Street Spirit). But The Bends lacks consistency in the
music itself. Opener "Planet Telex" is a good song, but it isn't anything engaging for the rest of the album. Bones and Sulk are
filler tracks that have nothing special about them. Let's just say that The Bends was a brit-rock quintet's preparation for a
bright future ahead of them. 8.6/10.
8Radiohead
Pablo Honey

Everybody knows this is the worst Radiohead album, I don't have to explain my thoughts on it. It has some good songs, though.
5/10.
