Ledzeppelinology

Led Zeppelin's albums (up to their break-up) in order of preference.
8Led Zeppelin
In Through the Out Door

A record that gives me mixed feelings. It's very good, the only problem it had was that it could never live up to it's predeccesors. It was still a very decent last recording by this legendary band. Best song: South Bound Suarez
7Led Zeppelin
Presence

One of the more uneven albums by the band, it also has one of the band's more memorable tracks: "Achilles' Last Stand". Best song: Achilles' Last Stand
6Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin III

Mostly an acoustic record, it's pretty much tied with #5 and #4 in terms of quality. Best song: Inmigrant Song
5Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin is one of those few bands that both started and ended their career impeccably: most bands that came after never achieved such standards of quality. This is a truly smashing debut, and one of the best debut albums ever made. Best song: Communication Breakdown
4Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin II

Awesome classic. This is an essential for classic rock lovers. Best song: Ramble On
3Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin IV

The often cited "cornerstone album" by the band is #3 here simply because the ones above it are just too awesome. But hey, this has some of the band's undisputed classics. Best song: Stairway to Heaven
2Led Zeppelin
Houses of the Holy

Often overshadowed by it's succesor and predeccesor, this album quite nearly matches #1 in greatness (objectively, it does match it, but I just preferred that one). Best Song: The Rain Song
1Led Zeppelin
Physical Graffiti

To me, the band's magnum opus. This is one of those few double albums that is impeccably perfect. Only a great band such as Led Zeppelin could have pulled this off. Best Song: Kashmir
