11.14.11 | Actually, general opinion is that bf3>mw3 (if you're on the Internet, at least) so I can't agree with that.
MW3 is pretty much an expansion pack to MW2, yeah, but some people can legitimately like the gameplay better. I've played on offshoot battlefront game (like 1943 or something) which granted wasn't an important release but the gameplay wasn't as good as MW2's. |

11.14.11 | Depends on what site you're on. Go to gamespot's forums and you'll see nothing but "bf3 sucks ass mw3 ftw" and shit like that.
MW3 has its strengths - namely, the pick up and play nature and the ability to do split-screen online - but that's about it. I'd definitely never pay full price for it.
Also @xtoxin I can barely even distinguish between Call of Duty games. World At War is probably the only one I could confidently pick out of a crowd |

11.14.11 | @tkxx, that's weird. I hang around a few sites (like Sputnik, Smogon, Reddit) and there seems to be an overwhelming consensus of "MW3 sux" even before it released. I guess Gamespot is one of those stupid sites with dumbass COD fanboys who need to f.o.a.d. but I've never thought that the fans of a game, band, etc. necessarily told you a game's worth (but perhaps does show a game's appeal)
But yeah I mean the MW series are exactly the same, and I feel like WaW and BO were exactly the same. It is what it is. MW2 was, for me, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Yellowcard, etc. Something light and fun you can play (jam to) with your friends, and if my PS3 weren't broken I'd buy MW3 just for a MW2 hopefully without noobtube/commando |

11.14.11 | Well the games are cycled between Treyarch and some other developer - so that each game gets a 2-year dev cycle, but they come out yearly. Which explains why the MW games are indistinguishable |

And yeah, that'd explain why but I mean my point was it doesn't really matter. As far as I'm concerned, there are some perks to MW3 that might outweigh the perks to BF3, so yeah it's legitimate to prefer the former to the latter (also pun not intended) |
