Opeth Ranked

Opeth's been one of my favorite bands for a long time, one of the first metal bands I ever saw live and also have seen them the most. It's only fitting that I ranked their great achievements in metal music.
10Opeth
Heritage

Still haven't listened to it, heard its not that great. Just like Opeth, I leave
the country for a few months and the release whats supposed to be their
worst album, tsk tsk
9Opeth
Orchid

Hey they had to start somewhere, some poor production makes this album
a tad hard to get into, but still some great beginnings for a great band
8Opeth
Watershed

Now its getting nice and heavy, some AMAZING drum parts on this album,
pretty slow and heavy for an Opeth album, but still real good
7Opeth
Deliverance

Very much the opposite of Damnation with the heaviness of Deliverance,
every song here is great, but could use a little more melody like other
Opeth albums
6Opeth
Morningrise

Great step up form Orchid, Gotta love nectar, silent water, and to bid you
farwell. Black Rose Immortal is epic as fuck, even if the Mikael hates it.
Definitely Opeth's progyiest album with the long loooong songs.
5Opeth
Damnation

The album I first heard that got me into Opeth, and what I still listen to
along with Lovage, A Perfect Circle, along with various Trip Hop albums, to
go to sleep. Just a beautiful record all around, from Windowpane, to rid the
disease, In my time of need, just so much emotion and beauty and melody
in this album
4Opeth
My Arms, Your Hearse

One of, if not the heaviest Opeth albums (but also with a great mix of
melody in it). Demon of the fall is one of their all time greats, this was also
my first Opeth album
3Opeth
Ghost Reveries

I might get some crap for putting this album so high, but its awesome.
People thought that Opeth signing to Roadrunner before this release would
happen the quality, but not in the slightest. This is one of Opeth's more
jazzy albums that have a great deal of keyboard in songs like Baying of the
Hounds. But its also real great heavy in songs like Ghost of Perdition and
Grand Conjuration
2Opeth
Still Life

Tough to leave it out of the top spot, every song is so sorrowful and
amazing the whole way through, Opeth creates such amazing atmosphere
in this album that fits the story just so well
1Opeth
Blackwater Park

As amazing as Still Life is, you can't beat the classic. Drapery Falls, title
track, harvest, leper affintiy, bleack, it just creates such a dark heavy
atmosphere coupled with the sad, mellowness that you see on Still Life.
This is Opeth at their most Opethy
