Masochist 09.15.11	I have only ever give a "5" to six albums. And if I'm not mistaken, the only one of those that ever got a 5 on the first listen was Johnny Cash's 'At San Quentin'. It's hard enough for me to 4.5 on first listen, but that happens every so often--most recently with DJ Shadow's 'Endtroducing'.

There have been albums I rated 5 to start with, but that's because I knew them before Sputnik (Transatlanticism and Innocence & Instinct)

Adabelle 09.15.11	Always try to rate after the first listen but then I'll always listen again. If I liked the album loads, I play it again pretty soon after, if it was a 3 or less, I'll wait days/weeks/months to listen again. Back to the original question, never 5'd after one listen.
