Music's Tidal Wave Effect?

I was thinking today, sorry, and I can recall knowing my music a lot more when I was a ryounger, more casual music fan than I do now. To me, it seems the internet's tidal wave of rnew artists and rrelatively easy ways for me to get a hold of just about any album I want - rstream or stolen, whichever - has kind of given me this vague disinterest and feeling of rlaziness whenever I come across ra new album that I listen to. Like, I don't feel compelled to rreally get to know the music like I used to when music was much more difficult for me to rcome by, if only because I can't wait to pounce ron something new and fresh just as the prior ralbum may have just about to begin settling, or something. Has this happened to anyone relse? This may be an old topic, and if so, I apologize.
