My Journey Through Bad Music
Recently, I asked people to rec me bad music. I wanted to raise my objectivity score, refresh my ideas of what makes music "bad," and finally listen to some albums that all my friends (and myself included) talk trash on without ever actually hearing. Here we go... |
1 | | Attack Attack! Someday Came SUddenly
Jesus fuck, what did I get myself into? God. It's like there are 3 components to this album (electronica dance nonsense, breakdowns, and hackneyed attempts at emotional verses/choruses) and they just rearrange them and call it a new song. Honestly one of the worst albums I've ever heard. |
2 | | The Devil Wears Prada Plagues
Better than SCS, but not by much. |
3 | | A Day To Remeber Homesick
First mindfuck. People trash ADTR all the time, yet "The Downfall Of Us All" is... well, pretty damn awesome. The rest of the album is okay, but that first song gets me pretty stoked. |
4 | | Soulja Boy isouljaboytellem
Yes, I actually listened to all of it... Fuck, man. I feel dumber. |
5 | | Slipknot Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)
Mindfuck #2. Pretty good album, actually. Their other stuff is pretty much garbage, but not really this one. A good amount of variety, plus the fact that they toned down the whole "nu-" part. |
6 | | Eighteen Visions Eighteen Visions
Neo-GNR. No thanks. |
7 | | Trivium The Crusade
Boy, they're really trying to be Metallica, aren't they? |
8 | | lil wayne Rebirth
Sounds like it was made in Garage Band with some offensively retarded lyrics drooled through auto-tune. Nope. |
9 | | Emmure Felony
I'm pretty sure I don't need to explain anything here. |
10 | | The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Don't You Fake It
Bring on the hate! I thought it wasn't half bad, honestly. I mean, the vocalist is pretty awful, and so are the lyrics, but there are a few songs that I sort of enjoy. |
