04.10.11 | What? Naw way. I wasn't totally mad for the 90's. Some pretty terrible songs released. Some gems too. |

04.10.11 | Doolittle is definitely '89. Really dropped the ball there. |

04.10.11 | 90's was great. Underground music scene was awesome, and the mainstream had some pretty great stuff floating around.

04.10.11 | I dunno. I wasn't mad on too many of the sounds personally. That's not to say it was bad, just not as good as other decades. |

04.10.11 | The 90's is my favorite decade for music. |
SloppyMilkshake
04.10.11 | I don't think I could rank the decades though. Back in the day I would've put the 80's at the bottom, but then I got into a lot of the punk/post-punk/early indie music floating around.
60's (best time for pop music, many brilliant songs with some amazing albums by the few bands who knew how to pull off a good album)
70's (possibly the best time for album based music. Pretty interesting decade all around, might be my favorite especially for the later end. Prog/punk music all flourished here)
80's (underground music is fucking fantastic in the 80's. Some of the pop is really good, but normally, I hate the 80's "sound")
90's (underground and pop music are both rather good. Some stale sounds that got played to death, but overall, a lot of eclectic stuff floating around)
00's (Pop music is awful. Indie/underground is where it's at. That being said, a lot of interesting stuff came out around this decade) |

Nice to see In Utero instead of Nevermind ...Incesticide also has got some unbelievably anarchistic unique moments which are IMO everlasting in grunge scene!!
Mother LoveBone's Apple
Mudhoney's Superfuzz Bigmuff
P J harvey's To bring you my love
Mad season's Above
Psychotic Waltz's A Social Grace
Kyuss - Blues For The Red Sun
The Jesus and Mary chain's Honey's dead
maudlin of the Well's My Fruit Psychobells...a Seed Combustible
Tool's Lateralus
Anathema's Judgement
Tiamat's A deeper kind of Slumber or wirldhoney
Paradise lost's Host
Lake of tears' Forever Autumn
Just to mention a few great highlights of 90's in Grunge, progressive rock, stroner psychedelic gothic doom rock..honestly felt a little lazy to continue because there are really too many must-listens from 90's which undoubtedly are among the essentials in every genre ! |

04.10.11 | When I think of eighties, I think of glam metal with that overproduced snare sound that every band had. The underground scene was excellent though. |
