I have to say that it is indeed much better than Halo 3, and ten times better than that shitty ODST game which honestly ruined Halo for me. I hated that game. It took some convincing from my friend to even consider playing Reach, but I'm glad I did. The Jetpack is the shit. There's nothing quite as satisfying as flying up in the air, landing on top of someone, and meleeing them to death. Love it. And the environments are absolutely gorgeous. Oh, the space battle mission was orgasmic.

Hyperion1001 09.14.10	Halo, revolutionary game, essentially made the Xbox what it is today, awesome, original story and concepts. Halo 2, not as good plot wise, but the online play is the only thing that kept Xbox live up and running. Halo 3, boring, felt half-assed and the multiplayer was just a rehashed Halo 2 with sheilds. Hopefully this one is good, i have yet to play it.

I'm familiar with the series, but this game just feels....feels like each life you're just wandering around aimlessly, no possible way to play the maps strategically, waiting to get melee'd. Gorification 09.15.10	things that dissapointed me: envoroment graphics are actually worse than halo 3's...but i forgive them because the enviroments are bigger with more AI. also, saw a glitch while playing in the first couple minutes. and the campaign isnt as badass as i thought it would be. i got bored with it a couple times. otherwise, the multiplayer is awesome, the DMR is a great replacement for the BR, and forge world is fucking sexy.

Games are greatly hindered when they're labeled as "x-killer," because then all that happens is the two games are compared side by side the "x-killer" game is criticized to no end for not being exactly the same as the game it's supposed to compete with.

The original Halo was a jam packed little sci fi masterpiece. I felt like I had read a Heinlein or a Larry Niven novella. It shouldn't even be compared with the later series.

Every environment in the game is breathtaking. The story is decent. Actually play through the campaign before you run your mouth.

That's why they can't jump for shit and why the elites are so much bigger. The changes bugged me at first, but I'm more or less used to them now.

Also Jetpacks were a really horrible idea too. And the DMR's special 'miss the first shot and you're fucked' handicap.

Gorification 09.25.10	not if youre good with the weapon... i kill people all the time, even when they get the first shot off. especially in reach, because most of the kids on there still suck. and if youre using sprint, you shoulnt expect to be able to just instantly start firing your weapon, because each perk is about having a trade off. but regardless, theres just too much to argue about. so if you think reach is bullshit, thats youre opinion then.

Gorification 09.25.10	but without trying to insult you, im going to say that you might just not be very good at it...because i dont have a problem with the dmr or any of the perks. i can cope just fine when someones using armor lock or camo, and i out dmr kids with ease. you might like it when you get used to it. when i first played it, i was like "what the fuck." the perks pissed me off too. i just learned how to handle them.

Pretty much all the environments were forerunner (best type of scenery by far), there were only like 10 weapons, all the multiplayer maps were really strong (save Wizard which was just too simplistic)... the more I think about it the more baffled I am that this hasn't been done yet.
