07.28.10 | Oh yeah... if you like 90's music, you probably should check this out as there is a lot of influence from that era in here. |
East Hastings
07.28.10 | lemme finish morningrise first |
East Hastings
07.28.10 | this is actually pretty good so far, but that snare is bugging the shit out of me |
eternium
07.28.10 | One the first song. Vocals are wayyy too high in the mix. Other than that, it's damn good. |
eternium
07.28.10 | *on |
killrobotmusic
07.28.10 | Yeah, I agree that the mix probably still could use a bit more tweaking on some of these tracks. Not bad I guess though considering we recorded most of this in some kid's bedroom. |
TRMshadow
07.28.10 | Sounds pretty nice. I'm listening to Call it what you Will, and though it's not anything really groundbreaking, it's some really solid music. Would definitely support whatever you do in the future. |
East Hastings
07.28.10 | the vocals on the 2nd track need a lot of work, but the bass sounds pretty good. basically dude you got everything you need for a good album, you just need some experimentation, be it song structure, dynamics, or even instrumentation. the song lengths are asking a bit much for standard verse/chorus/solo/bridge/chorus, but overall it's not too bad. nice job |
TRMshadow
07.28.10 | Now I'm hearing that high vocals mix thing. Yeah, that needs work. It seems like the guitar is the lowest on there, even lower than the bass. |
Bitchfork
07.28.10 | Bitchfork refuses to listen because I highly doubt there is any world or noise or ambient. |
eternium
07.28.10 | Bitchfork needs to be more open minded. |
FruityCatOfDoom
07.28.10 | Pretty good job, listening to Candy Cigarettes now. And yeah the vocals on the 2nd one need work. |
Slum
07.28.10 | Better than Bitchfork's EP |
Masochist
07.28.10 | Not bad at all, sir! Quality of production was a lot better than I thought it would be.
On "Fire In The Attic," I kind of wish there was a vocal harmony in the chorus. The verses are reminiscent of Thrice's "Digital Sea." The "Whoa" bridge is pretty damn cool. I think that one is my favorite so far, though.
"Candy Cigarettes" sounds like the type of song that your vocalist can pull off by himself. Fun stuff, kind of like Foo Fighters-meets-He Is Legend, and don't ask why I came up with that match. That one's good, too.
Good stuff, definitely. I enjoyed it. |
Bitchfork
07.28.10 | Lol Eternium
Slum yhur nawt noiz u can't say sihttt bitch |

07.28.10 | I'm surprised this many people actually have checked this out... thank you very much... the comments are very appreciated. |
eternium
07.28.10 | Pretty typical rock band. 3.2/5
I enjoyed the lead guitar parts the most. The vocal harmonies are also nice. I'd just lower the vocals in the mix and experiment more with song structures. |
Winsomniac
07.28.10 | It's not really my cup of tea, but in terms of creativity, it's definitely not lacking.
...could you put in a breakdown, for me? |
eternium
07.28.10 | Fuck breakdowns, needs blastbeats. |
Knott-
07.28.10 | how is the vocalist so awesome on the first track and so boring on the 2nd |
SoapySoap
07.28.10 | I liked it. Could use some fixing, but it was definitely better than what I had anticipated, to be honest. |
killrobotmusic
07.28.10 | Hey Knott-, I think the reason for the big vocal oscillation here is because each track was mixed differently and different effects were used. I think he was trying different things but never actually found a uniform styling/vocal effect. Second track is probably the weakest on the album I feel anyway, though its the "heaviest". |
Yotimi
07.28.10 | Not bad at all. Kinda sounds like Hum. Singer sounds great on Call it what you will. |
Knott-
07.28.10 | i really like tracks 1 and 4... im pretty tired though i might have to listen/construct/feedback when i wake up |
killrobotmusic
07.28.10 | Hey man, thanks again. Just the fact that you even checked this out means a lot to me. |
Jakeitwasaghost
07.28.10 | This honestly isn't half bad. I'm not unimpressed. |
