Unemployment+farmland=suicidal(or Mastubation-obsessed)

Okay, maybe not suicidal, but definitely depressing. Been putting in applications on the internet all over for about a week now, and I still haven't gotten anything. I do have a construction job(if I want it), but that doesn't start for 3 weeks. Ugh. So basically I'm sitting here on Sputnik putting applications in over the internet, and hoping to get at least one call today. Anyways, here is Fear Factory albums ranked.

6Fear Factory
Digimortal

This was a toss-up between this and Transgression. Most of the freshness the band added to the metal scene is gone, and nu metal enters to replace it. Terrible, terrible mishap. This may have been Burton's breaking point, as it was Dino's. 2/5
5Fear Factory
Archetype

Decent enough, even though Wolbers seems to be channeling his inner-Dino and doesn't bring anything new or his own personality to the album. You think the title track pissed Dino off? 2.5/5
4Fear Factory
Obsolete

A pretty well put together concept album complete with story lines, a good plot, and characters. Fear Factory's best selling album to date. However, the "Cars" cover is an absolute travesty that seemed to bring the band's members to a breaking point. 3/5
3Fear Factory
Soul of a New Machine

The first full-length from Fear Factory wasn't as different or new as Demanufacture, but was still a pretty good metal album. BLAST BEATS GALORE!!!! 3.5/5
2Fear Factory
Mechanize

The big comeback. Burton hasn't sounded this good since Demanufacture, and the return of Cazares seems to have lit a fire under their ass. The real driving force in the band now, though, is Gene Hoglan. He just brings it all together. Plus, "Final Exit" is fucking epic. 4/5
1Fear Factory
Demanufacture

It's really a landmark release in metal. Not many, if any, bands were mixing cleans with harsh vocals at the time, so Burton was doing something no one else had really ever done before. Dino's guitarwork was masterful, Herrera was nice and tight on the kit, and Wolbers was solid on his bass. 5/5
