| Favourite Guitar Tones
got a couple of days off, making to many lists :/ | 1 | | Eric Johnson Bloom
His clean tone is absolute pure heaven. | 2 | | Lamb of God Wrath
Not a fan of the album, or the band really but the rawness of the tone on this i really like, instead of scooping they boosted the fuck out of the mids and it sounds great. | 3 | | Radiohead Ok Computer
So many different tones on this album that i love, the whole production is just fantastic, subterranian homesick alien especially. | 4 | | Groundhogs Thank Christ for The Bomb
Tone wise, similar to hendrix only better. One of the most tragically underrated bands/guitarists/lyricists of all time.
But the guitar tone is beautiful, half broken overdrive with an old school strat and some of the most emotive playing makes the tone superb. | 5 | | Frank Zappa Chunga's Revenge
Tonally, maybe an aquired taste. Personally the barking half on wah pedal distortion is wonderful to me, yet he covered so many tones i wouldnt really know where to start. This album imo demonstrates his best guitar tones. | |

01.25.10 | The first time a guitar tone stuck out to me was on Motion City Soundtrack's "Commit This To Memory". Its like it wasn't distorted, but it was still driven pretty hard. Hard to describe... | Lions
