Slayer Album Closers Rated
Name says it all. |
| 1 | Slayer Seasons in the Abyss
Atmospheric, dark, evil, and completely badass. The intro feels like being in the lounge of hell, and the solos are some of their best. Great stuff. |
| 2 | Raining Blood
Overrated by the GH kids. Still an awesome song. Not their best, but great. |
| 3 | Point
Love or hate Diabolus in musica, this is one of the best closers they've done. Fuckin' thrashfest. POINT IS WHERE ALL DIIIIE! |
| 4 | Hardening of the Arteries
Excellent way to close the amazing Hell Awaits, ending just like it begun... |
| 5 | Not of This God
Would be rated higher if not for the breakdown part. The rest is an amazing piece of thrash. Pure awesomeness. |
| 6 | Supremist
Up until the "MUST MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE WEAK!" part, the song is one of their best. After that, it loses steam. Still, amazing way to close Christ Illusion. |
| 7 | Mind Control
\m/ thrash. Really cool closer, but compared to the rest it has something that doesn't make it stand out. |
| 8 | Spill the Blood
Friggin atmospheric, but gets boring at times. Not the best way to end SoH, something with more energy would've worked better. |
| 9 | Show No Mercy
Well, a good way to close their debut, but clearly shows they were capable of much more. |
| 10 | Payback
Lyrically it attempts to be badass and turns out to be pathetic, musically it tries to feel like their old days yet falls on it's face. Their weakest closer. |
