| My Favorite Bands
These are my favorite bands out today. | 1 | Hurt
My favorite band since Volume I. Outstanding musicians, moving lyrics, and devotion to making music for themselves is why Hurt is my favorite band of all time. | 2 | Black Label Society
Zakk...Motherfucking...Wylde. His solos are ridiculous, his vocals are unique, and the ability to create albums every year makes Black Label Society my second favorite band of all time. | 3 | Tool
Maynard James Keenan is a genius, his music is so original, the band has a cult following. Tool ranks among the greatest. | 4 | Mudvayne
To the people who remember L.D.50 and The End Of All Things To Come, you know why Mudvayne is one of the best metal bands out there. The New Game is a switch-up for them, but Mudvayne is still a heavy hitting band who stays on the charts. | 5 | Disturbed
Disturbed has stayed true to what got them famous, Jungle Metal with crazy vocals from David. You know when you're listening to Disturbed. | 6 | Three Days Grace
Their Self-Titled album was a great introduction which showed true potential. One-X is one of the best albums to come out by any modern rock band. Life Starts now has changed up the style, but kept the same catchiness and skill as every album before it. Adam's vocals are some of the best, most lucid in rock today. | 7 | Slipknot
I love Slipknot, so much it's hard to put them as number seven, I'm sure you've all heard of Slipknot even if you haven't heard their music. Corey Taylor's raspy delivery implants a gruff tone on top of some heavy metal. The lyrics are Sic. Slipknot is another top-notch band. | 8 | Five Finger Death Punch
Ivan Moody deserves to lead a band like 5FDP into greatness, the vocals are rough, but can also be beautiful. The guitar work is some of the best in modern metal. 5FDP is for real, they followed up a superb album with another fantastic album that stayed true to its roots. | 9 | Killswitch Engage
Killswitch Engage was the first band I saw in concert, I've listened to at least one song from them every day since I can remember. Killswitch is a great metal band with catchy hooks, and smashing chords that will blow your fuckin head in half. | 10 | Chevelle
Every Chevelle song keeps you hooked, vocals are hard but can be soft, and sound great either way. Very original sound and consistency keeps Chevelle on my list. | |
SlightlyEpic
09.29.09 | fuck yeah Jungle Metal!!!!1!! | qwe3
09.29.09 | good list, i love 1-10 | theacademy
09.29.09 | i hope youre real because its going to be funny to watch you get torn apart here
in other news, 2, 4, 5, 6 (but really only One-X), 7 (excepting last album, which was awful), 9, and especially 10 are pretty awesome | WhiteWallStargazers

09.29.09 | nah man this list is amazing | theacademy
09.29.09 | Chevelle > Tool
yeah, i went there. | bloc
09.29.09 | 9 is not even worth a damn to be honest.
for 10, i think consistency might be the problem with the band. i mean, they are so consistent that many of their songs sound the same. | kitsch
09.29.09 | i cannot stand any of these | cirq
09.29.09 | what
the
fuuuuuck? | Eakflanderyof
09.29.09 | LOL at this list, mainly with the descriptions.
Tool has a cult following? That band is one of the most popular around. Their fans are some of the most annoying with the whole proclaiming him a genius thing, though. Geniuses don't rip off their own riffs blatantly. | Satellite
09.29.09 | Kid, you've come to the right place.
Start with never listening to any of these bands ever again. | Boognish
09.29.09 | When i saw Tool on this list i knew that the description was going to contain the same old 'OMG Maynard is a genius' bullshit, and i was right | thebbqshrimp
09.29.09 | Chevelle fucking sucks. | ckypro3
09.29.09 | very good list, almost identical to my favorites. if this list is in order, 10 should be a little higher. | AnotherBrick
09.29.09 | 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 are all pretty good, havent really listened to the others though | Boognish
09.29.09 | Disturbed's cover of Midlife Crisis is one of the worst things i've ever heard | Curse.
09.29.09 | 3,9,10 are good, rest suck hardcore | EVedder27
09.29.09 | 3 is great, 1 and 10 are good. don't care about the rest | PayneTiger777
09.29.09 | 1, 3, and 10 are bands I listen to on a normal basis. Always happy to see another fan of Hurt. | Romulus
09.29.09 | 1 is great wtf everybody | WvaSkittle
01.13.10 | chevelle mudvayne tool and disturbed blow. new slipknot is horrible. have not really listened to bls or hurt. killswitch and tdg are ok. five finger is the only one i like on here. so i give this list a 2.5 out of 10. but to each their own. | jagride
01.13.10 | Your description for Tool is so predictable and nauseating in its generic Toolfan-isms. | theacademy
01.13.10 | chevelle > tool | TheSpirit
01.13.10 | haha i totally agree with Poopular
"Tool is great. They are so smart. Their rhythms are genius. They are all geniuses. Tool is great." | KILL
01.13.10 | tool is great | TheSpirit
01.13.10 | yeah tool is great, but a lot of their fans are funny. | JWT155
01.13.10 | Tool's my favorite band, so glad to see Hurt here, one of the most underrated bands out there imo. | deftones27
06.28.10 | Tool, mudvayne, and KSE are good and at times BLS is good but the rest suck (except for hurt which i have yet to listen to) | Urinetrouble
06.28.10 | you poor thing. being on sputnik for a month will help you |
