02.10.10 | With a little contribution from jrowa001 and Anotherbrick in bonus, take a look! ; ) |
Masochist
02.10.10 | I see a lot of stuff I like, including Porcupine Tree, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, etc. Good stuff putting 'Tarkus' on here, too ;-) |

02.10.10 | Masochist, if you like ELP, you automatically 'need' to like Triumvirat. They are highly influenced by them, but not in a rip off way. start with 'Illusions On A Double Dimple'. Enjoy! |

09.18.10 | ProgJect (Jethro42/Nagrarok' prog rock reviews) recently posted a Premiata Forneria Marconi' review. Then I realize Sputnik don't know at all that famous band. So sad. If you love Genesis, Yes, King Crimson or BrandX, PFM could be your thing. |

03.13.13 | Great list Jethro, though why you would pick #24 over Crime of the Century confounds me. |
Jethro42
03.13.13 | Thanks DamnVanne. I said into my intro ''_Most_ of chosen albums are my faves''
I prefer Crime of the Century as well btw. |

03.13.13 | Maybe I just wanted to show another album for a change ;) |

03.13.13 | Cool albums Jethro. Loving that you put 39, 19, 9, & 23. Those are all albums that changed me so radically that all my listening habits were centered around them. |
Jethro42
03.13.13 | Thank you Parallels. I'd rec you to try 2, 12, 13, 17, 18, 22 and 25 (and possibly more). |

10.18.15 | You have great stuff here man. As always, any kind of lists are a very special choice. However, I need to comment some things about it. Maneige and Horslips are the only bands that I've never heard before. Others, I only know their names like Bubu and Maudlin Of The Well. In other cases I never listen all their albums like The Alan parsons Project and The gathering. Despite that, some others are consensual options, which are the most of the cases, still we can't have always the same options about which are the best albums of any band.
Anyway, this is a very impressive list of great prog albums. Cheers man. |

10.18.15 | List is not made of necessarily my favorite album of a band. I chose an album that I like very much, but let say Supertramp, maudlin of the well, The Gathering, Harmonium, Alan Parson's Project and PFM are not my favorite ones here on the list.
I am not sur why I didn't put the best from each band. It's an old list ;)
Get on Maneige and Horslips, man! Cheers! |
