Favorite Drummers

Even though I play guitar, I have always really admired drummers. This is probably due to the fact that every time I sit behind a drum kit, a whole lot of 'suck' ends up coming out. So here is a list of some of my favorite drummers (note: this is not a 'best' drummers list, just ones I like).
1Billy Cobham (ex-Mahavishnu Orchestra, solo)

The only thing more incredible then this guy's playing is his dynamics: ://www.youtube.com/watch? v=E4xJXNdNKOk
2Jon Theodore (ex-The Mars Volta, One Day As A Lion)

His playing on De-Loused awes me every single time.
3Chris Tsagakis (Rx Bandits, The Sound of Animals Fighting)

The polyrhythmic beats that this guy lays down over the Bandits are extremely impressive.
4Aaron Harris (Isis)

Though perhaps not the most technical of all drummers, every single note in his playing is perfectly placed.
5Chris Pennie (Coheed and Cambria, ex-Dillinger Escape Plan)

Have to give a shout out to this local crud. I remember he used to practically live at the studio where my old band practiced before joining Co&Ca.
6Erin Tate (Minus the Bear)

An extremely underrated drummer IMO. Some of the grooves he plays in MTB songs are very complex.
7Riley Beckenridge (Thrice)

Ah, I guess it was inevitable. Since Thrice happens to be my favorite band, it would be stupid for me not to include Riley. His drumming is very in tune with the music, but stands out at the same time.
8Gil Sharrone (Stolen Babies, Dillinger Escape Plan)

Gil tore it up live with TDEP when I saw them. Very talented.
9Blake Richardson (Between the Buried and Me)

I'm not sure I have to explain this choice...
10Cliff Sarcona (As Tall As Lions)

There were a lot of other good choices for the final spot, but seeing this guy's playing last week live really won me over. A very musical drummer who rips some captivating beats while still playing in the pocket.
