Eureka!

I've got it! Anaal Nathrakh doesn't publish lyrics because they don't HAVE any and they actually ARE screaming random syllables until the chorus. Possible? List is 2009 In Review, Pt. 1. All the stuff I've bought and a quick opinion. Enjoy.
1Morbid Angel
Altars of Madness

Haven't had a thorough listen of this yet, but I like the riffage going on in Chapel of Ghouls.
2Arghoslent
Arsenal of Glory (demo)

Eh. Not sure what to think. I like Hornets and Bigotry better. Decent.
3Zao
Awake?

I enjoyed this. Pretty sure that all complaints were because it's a little same-y. I could care less honestly...
4Ulver
Bergtatt

Extremely cheap on iTunes so I invested. I actually liked this a lot from the first listen.
5Ulver
Shadows of the Sun

Avant-garde isn't really my style but Garm's voice is incredible...love EOS.
6Wolves In the Throne Room
Black Cascade

Enjoyable, and Ahrimatic Trance is just amazing. Look into it now.
7Wolves In the Throne Room
Two Hunters

Much better on the whole than Black Cascade, although Cleansing and Ahrimatic Trance are both about 5-stars...
8Opeth
Blackwater Park

After some consideration, this is their best work. The Leper Affinity still isn't on the same level as The Lotus Eater though.
9Opeth
Watershed

3 words: THE LOTUS EATER!!! I got the ringtone too. XD
10Opeth
Still Life

Bought this basically for The Moor, but it ended up being an incredible concept album. Loving it so far.
11Mastodon
Crack the Skye

I really adore this album. Oblivion and Divinations blow my mind.
12Ikuinen Kaamos
Closure

Something about this gives me the vibe that this is what Trivium would sound like if they didn't suck... Great. FREE. Liked this.
13Silverstein
A Shipwreck In the Sand

A Great Fire was good, Vices was good, the rest blew hard. WTF? Getting rid of this.
14Anaal Nathrakh
In the Constellation of the Black Widow

Pre-ordered, won't get it till the middle of July. PISS!!!
15Coheed and Cambria
Second Stage Turbine Blade

Eh, got it for $0.33.
16Nasum
Grind Finale

Read my review, this pwns face. 152 songs, biatch. 1...5...2.
17The Decemberists
The Hazards of Love

Sorry Waior, not as interesting as The Crane Wife. Still very good, though.
18Death
The Sound of Perseverance

Here it is: The Sound of Perseverance > Human > Symbolic > everything else.
19Death
Human

See above. Hard to compare this to the others, the band's sound is less developed. Still kicks mighty ass.
20Death
Symbolic

I don't know...just didn't like this as much as the other two.
21System of a Down
Hypnotize

It was cheap and it was the only SOAD album I didn't have...ugh.
22Emperor
In the Nightside Eclipse

Just bought this yesterday and I already adore it. Excellent black metal. Duh.
23Discordance Axis
The Inalienable Dreamless

Best grindcore ever recorded (look at the charts, it's true), one of the best albums ever.
24Discordance Axis
Jouhou

Not quite as good as TID, still amazing. Read my review.
25Abaddon Incarnate
Nadir

AMAZING. I'm gonna keep hyping this till someone mentions it. BLACKENED DEATHGRIND.
26Anberlin
New Surrender

Not sure if this was 2009 or '08... still love Anberlin. XD
27Psycroptic
Ob(servant)

Got this literally on the first day of '09. It's decent. Lol Tasmanian devils lol.
28shEver
Ocean of Illusions

Got it free courtesy of Willie. Pretty good amateur doom, read my review.
29Converge
Petitioning the Empty Sky

Got this for $0.33 too. Enjoyed The Saddest Day, the rest hasn't really gotten much attention.
30Pig Destroyer
Phantom Limb

Really really really liked this. Breakdown in Deathtripper is abillion times better than any core band, loved Heathen Temple's riffage.
31Amorphis
Silent Waters

Sounds like a baby Opeth, honestly. Enigma shows some folky styles, and I really like A Servant.
32 Old Man's Child
Slaves Of The World

Actually bought this for a friend, ended up with a copy. Pwns Dimmu Borgir's corpsepainted faces. Path of Destruction.
33Napalm Death
Time Waits For No Slave

Closest to a 5 any of my 4.5's has ever come. Amazing grind that actually LASTS for awhile (a.k.a. a day of Super Smash Bros. Brawl).
34Cynic
Traced In Air

Heard about it last year, didn't get the whole thing till Easter. It's honestly genius.
35Gojira
The Way of All Flesh

Also got this on 1-1, the drum intro on Art of Dying rips face. Oroborus is cool.
36The Devil Wears Prada
With Roots Above and Branches Below

WHY did I buy this??? Big Wiggly Style is enjoyable I suppose...blech.
37Green Day
21st Century Breakdown

Fuck you, I love this.
38Blood of the Black Owl
Blood of the Black Owl

Ordered, should get this in a few days. Can't wait! XD
39Blood of the Black Owl
A Feral Spirit

See above. Love Crippling of Age.
