| Best Old School Death Metal Albums
My favorite pre-1995 death metal albums. | 1 | | Atheist Elements
One of the first technical death metal albums, and it also incorporates strong influences of jazz. It seems I'm attracted to any metal with hints of jazz in it. | 2 | | Cryptopsy Blasphemy Made Flesh
I actually like this better than None So Vile, which is definately more technical than this, but BMF has more variety in instruments and vocals. Also that scream in Open Face Surgery blows me away every time. | 3 | | Atheist Unquestionable Presence
Well I obviously like Elements, but this is still amazing, and I luckily got a chance to buy the deluxe edition, which comes with plenty of extra songs to make your extra five bucks worth it. | 4 | | Death Scream Bloody Gore
Some consider it the first true death metal album, and while I disagree (Possessed), this album is still a solid slab of really old school Death Metal. | 5 | | Cynic Focus
You guys probably knew it was gonna be here, I mean it's practically the most famous album on Sputnik, anyways yeah, Jazz-infused Death Metal for the win. | 6 | | Cancer Death Shall Rise
While this isn't really a well-known album, it's definately a fun listen with it's constant supply of blistering riffs and death vocals. | 7 | | Lykathea Aflame Elvenefris
While I'm pretty positive this is later than 1995, I personally don't care. I love it, and it' basically Cryptopsy with a better drummer and a more dreamy and serene feel to the music. | 8 | | Possessed Seven Churches
THE first death metal album, with strong hints of thrash in it, as well as early death vocals. A must have for any death metal fan. | 9 | | Suffocation Pierced from Within
An insanely fast album, filled with brutality and ridiculously fast solos. | 10 | | Atheist Piece of Time
Blah, blah, blah... Jazz-Infused Death Metal, obviously their my favorite death metal band. | |

03.04.09 | 3, 4, 5, and 8 all rule. And make the Cryptopsy album None So Vile instead of Blasphemy Made Flesh and this list would be even better. | Rugter32
