Christbait 06.02.26	They get better as you go. Don't worry if your personal ratings don't reflect the majority. I think your appreciation for them depends on which album you start with, honestly. So keep an open mind as you continue since they do change up quite a bit by the time In the Absence of Truth rolls around.

gabba 06.02.26	Their first 3 albums are flawless, the best 3-album run in the ISIS/CoL/Neurosis discog imo. There's not a weak moment on Celestial, and it goes much harder than the rest, it is quite different.

Demon of the Fall 06.02.26	It took me 15 years to fully appreciate Panopticon. If you like variety and find the vox boring, then Oceanic may be a better bet. simplistic breakdown... Big 3 post-metal = top 10 bands of all time, the only metal bands placing this high these days non top 3 post-metal = gonna struggle cracking top 100... unless I give Fall of Efrafa a pass despite only releasing one post-metal album lol

Colliiiin 06.05.26	Hell ye, happy they're clicking for you. Fave band since I was like 16. I bought In the Absence when I was around 13/14 because I saw Underoath members rocking their merch. Can't say I fully understood it at the time aha, but I did think it was interesting. I latched onto Oceanic in high school and haven't looked back since.
