Probably my 2nd most watched Bond movie.
Think ‘Living Daylights’ is my most watched. Third most watched surely the comedy classic that is ‘Moonraker’.
Only problem with Moore is he got too damned old…but hardly his fault. Also gets bonus points for playing himself in the Cannonball Run films. |

playing the First Light game this morning before work… honestly I cried a little. I’m a massive Bond fan and the presentation has been top notch so far. Gameplay’s good and so far I really love everyone, new M is great, Moneypenny and Q have been on point too. Q got a really funny moment the second you meet him that immediately made me love him. Patrick Gibson was a great pick for a Bond origin story. Can’t wait to get off tonight and blast through it with my day off tomorrow. Hope to have my first run finished by Thursday, but I have no idea how long this game is. I literally just finished the tutorials and intro after an hour and half, I feel like the game’s gonna be long. |

05.26.26 | Nope, good guess tho. |
Wildcardbitchesss
05.26.26 | I’ve found that people who hated No Time to Die hate it for literally the most retarded reasons ever, the villain was weak and had a kinda nonsense plot but that goes for literally half of the franchise. Movie is phenomenal aside from that and a damn near flawless send off for Daniel Craig.
10/10 would cry in the theater again |
Wildcardbitchesss
05.26.26 | And give it a shot Zak! So far feels about half Hitman half Uncharted. As far as the vibe goes, feels like if Brosnan had an origin style movie set in 2026. Lots of good humor already and Bond has had some pretty witty cracks. I’m literally only about an hour and a half in tho, the introduction + tutorial + story setup has been fun but pretty lengthy… hopefully it can be skipped a little on subsequent runs. |

05.26.26 | NTTD is a weird one for me. On one hand, Fukunaga directed it like it was an extended episode of True Detective and I loved that. Craig also gave a stellar final performance as Bond. On the other hand, I was not bought in on Rami Malek as the villain, I just couldn't feel it. But my most disliked aspect was Bond dying. I agree with Anthony Horowitz on the issue. Bond should never die, ever. It just does not fit at all and really hurts the film for me. |
Wildcardbitchesss
05.26.26 | I think if it were anybody other than Craig it would’ve went over like a lead balloon, but I gotta say I knew he was dead the second he said “we have all the time in the world” like 20 mins in. And it still made me sob like a bitch |

05.29.26 | I get the feeling that the sequel will not take them long at all, I mean think about how quickly they churned out the WOA Hitman trilogy. Hoping the roadmap for the Bond era is similar.
Gotta say tho, hopefully we get some kind of multiplayer mode in the future. A Splinter Cell style co op campaign would be very welcome!! |
Gyromania
05.29.26 | Man, remember Splinter Cell Chaos Theory coop? With unique maps. That shit was amazing.
Glad to hear I still have plenty left. I kind of hope more gets added to the tacsim. I only saw two missions in there. Also idk if they’ll rush to make a sequel. They’re likely going to add a decent bit of content to this game. |
Wildcardbitchesss
05.29.26 | Not sure if I like it more than RE9. Def gonna take an another playthrough before I say anything but I’m goddamn in love. It’s even better than I’d hoped, and the story is rock fucking solid. Literally better written than at least half of the films.
And Making their own Bond was a huge risk. It would’ve been much easier to just use Craig or something but I’m so glad they did. Patrick Gibson definitely feels like he’s taking a lot of cues from Pierce Brosnan but he’s just different enough to leave his own mark. Making him so young and doing a proper origin story was definitely the right move. Supporting cast is phenomenal too, really loved the other agents training in the 00 program, Lennie James is great as Greenway, love the new M, Q, and Moneypenny’s as well.
Having this series running alongside whatever Amazon and Denis Villenueve are cooking up… god Bond fans are about to be FEASTING |
Wildcardbitchesss
05.29.26 | Tbh man I’m down for whatever they wanna do. Some story DLC would definitely be welcome… that said I haven’t even opened Tacsim yet so I have that to blow through as well.
And yesssss dude exactly what I’m thinking regarding Chaos Theory but hot take: I think Conviction had the best co op campaign. The story is fucking great and it ties into the solo campaign flawlessly. That would be ideal but I don’t think they’ll do multiplayer, they never have before aside from leaderboards if I remember right. |
Gyromania
05.29.26 | I feel like in the Craig era, every other film is great. Casino is peak, Quantum is slightly mid, Skyfall is amazing, Spectre is borderline shite, and NTTD is great albeit the weakest of the 3 best |
Gyromania
05.29.26 | Oh get on that tacsim! I started that back after I finished the nightclub. Some great challenges in there, but I was concerned becuse it only had 2 scenarios to play out and they were greyed out with a "complete the main game" message. I really hope it's not just those two, because I could see replaying some of these scenarios in different ways.
As for Conviction - I never played that one coop, sadly, but I loved the campaign and will die on the hill that it's an excellent SC game. I just remember the missions (especially the mansion one) in the Chaos Theory coop being some of the best stealth based gaming ever. The fact that you and your friend could infiltrate from totally different points and go through the huge estate in a different order taking out guys. So good. Fuck... we really need a new SC game |
Wildcardbitchesss
05.29.26 | “ I feel like in the Craig era, every other film is great. Casino is peak, Quantum is slightly mid, Skyfall is amazing, Spectre is borderline shite, and NTTD is great albeit the weakest of the 3 best”
I feel similarly, but not quite as extreme I guess. I think Casino Royale, Skyfall, and NTTD are 5/5, with the first two being pretty much flawless, literally the only thing I dislike about NTTD is how horrifically they wasted Rami Malek. Not the worst villain in the series, just unbelievably bland. I like Quantum, it’s absolutely a step down from those three but I think it works very well when watched back to back with Casino Royale… Spectre is fine. I actually think the first 2/3 is pretty damn good, aside from that boring ass car chase. The movie fucking falls apart the second Bond and Madeline step off the train. 3/5 maybe. |
Wildcardbitchesss
05.29.26 | And dude you should really try to find someone to play Conviction with co op! I totally would but I sold my PC unfortunately. I would argue the co op campaign is better than the single player one. And I agree with Conviction on the whole. I think it’s pretty much perfect for where Sam is in his life. The more action oriented gameplay works well for how ruthless he is in that game.
And supposedly they’re remaking the original but I’m not holding my breath. It’ll be a nice surprise if it actually ever sees the light of day. |
CaliggyJack
05.29.26 | "I feel like in the Craig era, every other film is great. Casino is peak, Quantum is slightly mid, Skyfall is amazing, Spectre is borderline shite, and NTTD is great albeit the weakest of the 3 best"
I mean, Rotten Tomatoes agrees with you.
Casino Royale - 94%
Quantum of Solace - 63%
Skyfall - 92%
Spectre - 63%
No Time to Die - 83% |
Gyromania
05.29.26 | "literally the only thing I dislike about NTTD is how horrifically they wasted Rami Malek."
Same here. I really do love that movie but that villain was not fleshed out enough. Getting Rami Malek was huge. It's kind of wild they didn't do more with him.
After seeing Quantum again just the other night, I can confidently say it has some stellar scenes in it, but the villain is absolutely awful and the pacing and decision making are questionable. Also that movie has some of the craziest set pieces and chase sequences ruined by some of the worst camerawork I've ever seen. |
Gyromania
05.29.26 | Re: Splinter Cell - I would even settle for ports of the old games on modern hardware. Unfortunately I only have a PS5 atm. I would love if they ported over those old SC games. I'm sure 1 and 2 feel pretty dated by now, but i'd love to replay Chaos Theory and Conviction. |

Insurrection
05.31.26 | you can go ahead whenever you finish. i remember thinking the game was almost over a solid 4-5 times and then there was an entire other plot unfolding

05.31.26 | LOCATION SPOILERS FOR FIRST LIGHT BELOW
I just finished Antarctica before I had to go to work this evening, I’m almost positive I only have one mission left… gotta say the only thing I’m kinda disappointed in is the villains… they weren’t even really weak I just wish there was more of them. But I also have no idea wtf is going on. I watched the cutscene after Antarctica and thought it was wrapping up and yep it threw me into another gameplay segment lol
Really curious to see how it wraps up considering I really thought it was already ending haha |

05.31.26 | Didn’t read the comments by ima have to buy this game. How long is it tho?
I’m hoping for a good 20hr game |
Wildcardbitchesss
05.31.26 | NO SPOILERS
Honestly longer than you’d probably think. Very rough guess but lemme game it out real quick, I played about an hour and a half Tuesday morning, and another 8-9 hours that night and well into Wednesday morning. Didn’t play at all Wednesday because I felt like shit. Played maybe 3-4 hours Thursday, and another 3-4 Friday. Probably played about 2 yesterday… and I still have a little ways to go. So my run is bare minimum 15, probably closer to 17-18, but I also restart a lot when I get detected. Which I won’t be doing in the future because half the excitement is getting spotted and then beating the piss out of enemies. I’m also playing on normal. There’s three difficulties, and typically I’d play on hard but you really should just go with normal. I’ve died more than a few times just getting a hang of the mechanics, but once you get a feel for the game and find yourself in a rhythm you’ll be chucking guns at enemies, inside of a smokescreen, while lasering another enemy to give yourself space to do a melee takedown on stunned enemies. The gameplay is fucking masterful man. I really wanted Naughty Dog to have the opportunity to do Bond, but man they actually might’ve done a better job than the guys and gals at ND would’ve done.
It’s truly an incredible game that gives you so many options in how you want to tackle every encounter and every mission as a whole. It’s so goddamned good man, and that’s without even mentioning the story. If this were ranked alongside the films just by its cutscenes, acting, dialogue and all that, I’d absolutely throw it in the top 10, and Patrick Gibson is great Bond. I’ve said it before but he feels closest to a 20 something Pierce Brosnan placed in 2026… which is just brilliant. We got dark and brooding with Craig (which I love, don’t get me wrong), so I’m glad to have the charming but deadly Bond we all know. Don’t wanna say much about the story because it really is great man.
TLDR: yes 20 hours is actually about right depending on your playstyle |

As perfect as a 007 origin story could be. The final cutscene has me misty eyed. I love almost everything about it… I could nitpick a few things here and there but overall it was absolutely worth that long ass wait and already one of my favorite games ever. Excited to tackle the tacsim tomorrow. I might just restart the campaign tho tbh |

05.31.26 | I still have a way to go to completing it but First Light is one of the greatest of all time.
How they’ve managed to create a new version of Bond that incorporates the source material, make it feel like you actually are Bond and wrapped amazing stealth, fighting and gunplay round a quality story while delivering a finished product is deserving of the highest praise going.
People complaining that it’s not long enough, or saying that it’s effectively a walking sim clearly haven’t played it. |

Pierce Brosnans last and best performance as Bond and it wasn’t even a movie. The game had so many different levels and kinds of fights and different ways to play and introduced more gadgets than a bond game ever had and they were fun. Fighting a tank the first mission. A motorcycle mission that was epic. All sorts of epic stealth missions. |

05.31.26 | Everything or Nothing is HANDILY the best Bond game… after First Light. I adored that game growing up and it pisses me off that publishers didn’t treat the IP with the respect that it deserves considering there’s literally no way to play ANY Bond game unless you have a physical copy (with a console that’s 2 or 3 generations old at this point!) or you’re pirating it. I would love to roll a joint and play that in 4K on my PS5.
I think calling it his best performance as Bond is slightly hyperbolic tho… he’s fucking phenomenal in Goldeneye man, helps that it’s just one of the best action movies ever made. I’m going off on kind of a tangent here but Martin Campbell does not get the respect he deserves. He pulled this franchise out of the doldrums not once, but TWICE with Goldeneye and Casino Royale. I don’t even think it’s a matter of debate to say that he literally saved it with Casino Royale after how disastrous Die Another Day was.
Back to the games, I’d say First Light is my favorite, with Everything or Nothing and From Russia With Love following. Maybe I’ll do a ranking of the games here soon. I don’t have the means to play any of them right now, but the memory of them is seared into my brain. I played the fuck out of all of them growing up and managed to play a few of them on PC as an adult so it wouldnt be purely nostalgia talking. Also, I think if Nightfire had actually starred Pierce Brosnan, and not the cheapest imitation they could find, I would probably like it more… but I also just don’t enjoy first person games as much as third person ones, even as a kid I always preferred third person. It’s fucking James Bond, you paid however much for the IP, let me see that beautiful man’s face. |
anarchistfish
05.31.26 | I always tell people who've never seen a Bond movie: watch Goldeneye first. If you don't dig it, watch Casino Royale |
Wildcardbitchesss
05.31.26 | Solid advice.
Goldeneye is the perfect blend of old and new, Casino Royale is that brooding type of film that was all the rage in the mid 2000’s. Both are among the best Bond films ever. Casino Royale will (probably) always be my favorite but Goldeneye is incredible too. And ftr when I say Martin Campbell “saved” Bond… that’s not a slight against License to Kill, that movie was actually way ahead of its time in many ways.
It was meant as a slight against Die Another Day. Tbh I do like that movie, but the quote that always gets passed around is how Austin Powers was such a good spoof of Bond that Die Another Day went and was just goofy as those movie, so much so that it nearly killed the franchise. Again, I think it’s a whole lot of fun but god that movie is fucking stupid. The Korean general cradling his pasty ass white son is one of the melt unintentionally funny things I’ve ever seen |
CaliggyJack
05.31.26 | Everything or Nothing is the 5th Pierce Brosnan Bond Fipm and nothing anybody can say will change my mind.
Just like Blood Stone is the 3rd Daniel Craig Bond film. |
Wildcardbitchesss
06.01.26 | Blood Stone actually really works because the ending could be interpreted a couple to different ways. My theory is that the Joss Stone character was some kind of Spectre pawn but she could’ve been taking orders from Javier Bardem’s character too.
In reality I’m sure it was just setup for a sequel they never got to make. It’s just nice to think of Blood Stone as canon because we never got a Daniel Craig Bond movie where he’s in his prime. We got fresh faced baby Craig in Cainso Royale and Quantum then BAM it’s Skyfall and he’s old… it really felt like there should be a film between his first two and Skyfall. |

06.01.26 | Need to refresh Bond, haven't seen the last one. And the new one arrives soon.
From what I remember, The Living Daylights was my fave. |
Wildcardbitchesss
06.01.26 | Ehhh arrives soon is a bit of a stretch. They have a writer / director locked in, they haven’t even picked the new Bond yet. If IOI releases Bond games at the same clip as they did Hitman… it’s very possible we’ll get the First Light sequel before Bond 26. |
