I knew this list wasn't gonna get any responses but Idc I did it anyways. Silent Films are cool. |

05.13.26 | You should definitely seek the work of French director Jacques Tatti, some of his films are not exactly silent cinema, but they are really really close to that era.
Both films below are highly recommended:
Playtime
Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot |

05.13.26 | Mr. President a Jacques Tatti mention has hit the thread.
I admit I haven't watched him as much as I should. I've seen Playtime (Masterpiece), and Devil in the Flesh (Also awesome). I'll give Vacances a watch sometime.
Also, Dunkey making a video on Playtime was one of the wildest things I'd ever seen from a big youtuber. |

^^Same here, noticed that three of his films are to be wiped from a local streaming service, and watched what I recommended. Playtime is a classic that everyone should see, Les Vacances is rough at the edges, but the magic was already there. |

05.14.26 | I highly recommend Devil in the Flesh if you havent seen it. Ill def check out Vacances sometime! |

05.14.26 | Student of Prague and Salome that high? shocked you snubbed A Page of Madness mr horror dude. sneaking The Artist in is p funny.
big fan of Fritz Lang, his Die Nibelungen's mythological fantasy epic would well fit your taste I'd think. |

05.14.26 | I just looked up Page of Madness. It sounds really interesting! I'll give it a watch sometime.
Also 1913 Student of Prague is so good. Stellan's directing is both very independent but also weirdly professional. Also Paul Wegener did so well in the dual role. I actually really dislike the 1926 remake. I personally think it stripped away all he Horror and Conrad Veidt was just... not as good in the lead. |
