And hard to say what counts as a animated fantasy movie, tons of anthropomorphic/storybook stuff. Like these two would easily classify as scifi buuut are also fantasy: fantastic planet and heavy metal. Bakshis got wizards buuut def would classify fire&ice as fantasy.
But yeah if you dig watership down check rosens follow up 'plague dogs,' it's soul crushing. Also for another flat out bleak british animated movie check 'when the wind blows.'
Like, I'm pretty bitter that Road to El Dorado isn't on here, because if it was, it would make the top 5 for sure. But one part of the movie simply wasn't enough for me to say it was a Fantasy film y'know? A lot of this list was just personal opinion at the end of the day.
