| Orb's DJ Alias Revealed!
As my 10 year anniversary on sput approaches I figured it's time to step out of the shadows and show my appreciation for the sputnik community by finally sharing some of my previous projects with you all. My love of music and dedication to having a discerning ear has been massively influenced by this community at large. I'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the people I've enjoyed interacting with over the last decade on this site.
Below are my proudest accomplishments to date, and I'm also very happy to announce that after a long hiatus I'll be returning very shortly with the release of a new, massive, multi-genre mix that pushes well beyond the boundaries of what I thought was even possible, so stay tuned! | | 1 | | Scryer (CAN) Body Language
"As an emblem of drum & bass' modern psyche, the first installment of the Body Language mix series strikes its pose with a heady mixture of minimal 170bpm music underscored by deep, rolling basslines and cerebral funk. Spacious enough for deep contemplation yet striking enough to keep the body and mind moving in unison, this one is dedicated to the thinkers." - 2019 | | 2 | | Scryer (CAN) Body Language II
"While the first Body Language mix was tailored to the mind of the dancefloor, its sequel, Body Language II, shifts focus towards the raw physicality of drum & bass. Dedicated to those who love to dance, the vibe here is quite electric, with high energy cuts blended and chopped to maximum effect, garnering an experience of peak-hours bliss and total catharsis." - 2020 | | 3 | | Scryer (CAN) Body Language III
"Right from the start, the Body Language mix series was intended to be a trilogy. Having released the first tape as a symbol of drum & bass' psyche back in 2019, and the second instalment as a representation of the genre's physicality in 2020, I'm excited to finally release the third and final element, Body Language III, as a symbol of drum & bass' soul. Through a curated selection of liquid funk and deep rollers, I'm excited to finally call this triune of mind, body and spirit complete." - 2021 | |

04.29.26 | Sorry I haven't replied to your email yet, been decently busy with final papers for school but I am really digging the first Body Language. I love that you described it as cerebral because that's exactly what I'm feeling as this mix rolls along | Orb
04.30.26 | Thx friend! Stoked to hear you're digging it! Crafting these mixes was a therapeutic experience for sure, and my aim was to reflect that for the listener as well :] | budgie

05.01.26 | Holy shit! Deviant!? You had more influence on me than you'll ever know. I'd have never known the beauty of eclectic electronic music if it wasn't for scouring your reviews and ratings for underground gems back in the day. I'm very grateful for it. |
