| Iron Maiden Self Titled Ranked
Might as well rank each of the albums of my all time favorite band. Starting off an all time 7 album run strong. | | 9 | Iron Maiden Strange World
I already know people gonna be mad about this one. Simple as me just not caring much for psychedelic's influences in the late 70's rock canon as others do. Guitar solos and overall performances are nice though. | | 8 | Running Free
A good swing groove makes this track although kinda fails to build up to something more which band already proved they could do on this album. | | 7 | Iron Maiden
A quick paced title track to close the album is great even if not inherently the most singable. Maybe I just have trauma from having to hear such drawn versions of this and previous track live. | | 6 | Charlotte The Harlot
I love the way the lead guitar works with chunky guitar chords and fast bass lines on this one. The middle part and solo really bring it home. Lot's of Paul D character in the singing here. | | 5 | Sanctuary
The guitars are so "electric" on this track and really are a great call back to the rock that inspired band. Solo sections are fantastic. | | 4 | Remember Tomorrow
The build ups of tension and release in this track are fantastic. Classic arpeggiated bass serving as a major foundation with fun old school rock inspired guitar tracks. The "Chorus" section leading to solo section is fantastic and the solos/interludes kick ass. | | 3 | Prowler
What a crazy sound to hear if you were already familiar with band, but probably also hit the same way for people hearing for first time back in the day. Cool leads throughout with very singable vocal parts. | | 2 | Transylvania
If any track was truly representative of what was to come it would be this one. The crazy triplet feel and powerful leads that make way for a very hectic bridge section to the solos just drip classic Maiden. Probably my fav drum work on album as well. | | 1 | Phantom Of The Opera
Maiden showing they always had "epic" in their repertoire, this track is hailed as the fav by many for good reason. Its got intrigue in the verses and choruses and the solos to instrumental sections just keep getting better and better through to the climax. fantastic performances from all band members to make this absolute classic. | |

02.20.26 | Strange World last wtf | troyofyort
02.20.26 | I knew it lol. For me it just need one more texture or something to really push it up. Again Almost anytime im stuck diverging from the crowd its likely a psych/repeating/droning track; im not really one to just ruminate to a vibe. | charbyno
02.20.26 | So looking forward to seeing these lists. My all time favourite band too, seen them 17 times! Phantom is absolutely #1 for me and Charlotte is my least favourite here, but its still great! | troyofyort
02.20.26 | Damn and I thought I was doing well at seeing them 10 times. yeah them being my fav band, the rankings have be taken in the context of purely comparative because I love most tracks of this band so even the bottom quarter of discog for me is pretty up there overall. | Gyromania
02.20.26 | 7 is 1 | Titan
02.20.26 | I’ve seen them about 12-15 times myself. My favorite heavy metal band too. Just a perfect outfit between the music, live show, Eddie, artwork, musicians, etc… | troyofyort
02.20.26 | Love to hear it, I fucking love that they keep giving us tours worth going to. Seeing what they had in store for the Future/Past Tour made me go to Canada from Texas to see them in case they ended before with Nicko's health problems (Did end up seeing them in San Antonio for Nicko's last US show though). | Pooter9000
02.20.26 | Yeah no, Strange World top 3, sorry. Prowler last for the lyrics alone | budgie
02.20.26 | prowler is prob my #1 but its a close call with sanctuary and phantom. cool list | troyofyort
02.21.26 | Sanctuary is really a cool track that gets a bit overlooked because its not on the original track listing but I like as the "ROCK" track more than Running Free. The bass part is especially cool, almost like he was channeling some Geddy Lee. |
