02.19.26 | We'll do it live. Fuck it! We'll do it live! |

02.19.26 | Interesting, leaving a comment here to follow the progress |
AlkemestRedux
02.19.26 | It's going good so far. Another Perfect Day is the first album to crack the 40 minute mark that I've listened to so they're pretty easy to get through. |
Gyromania
02.19.26 | Sick, dude. Also leaving a comment here so I can return to this. Currently doing a genre discog run for prog rock (top 10 most noteworthy bands in the genre). Was thinking of doing one for new wave british heavy metal, but unsure of which bands I'd include. Iron Maiden was always going to be one of them, and Judas Priest. Was thinking I'd include these guys too (if they qualify; still unsure of whether they're heavy metal or hard rock, only heard a few tracks). Gotta figure out what else to add. |
AlkemestRedux
02.19.26 | Hell yeah these guys would definitely qualify! Maiden is a solid choice. Gotta check out more Judas Priest myself so I'll follow along on yours. |
Gyromania
02.20.26 | Right on man! I'll see you in the threads |
Titan
02.20.26 | 2 has always been my favorite. It’s so cohesive and flows like no other. |
AlkemestRedux
02.20.26 | It kicked a ton of ass. Honestly all the albums so far have been killer but Overkill goes hard. |
RunOfTheMill
02.20.26 | 7 is my favourite. I love the Fast Eddie albums of course but I absolutely adore the melodic approach Robo had. A unique one in the discography.
Otherwise incredibly consistent band, but they get a bit by the numbers starting in the mid 90s with a few exceptionally good albums. I’m big on Aftershock as well. |
RunOfTheMill
02.20.26 | Oh also don’t forego No Sleep till Hammersmith, excellent live album and I can also recommend the Golden Years EP (it has the definitive version of Stone Dead Forever imo) |
AlkemestRedux
02.20.26 | I'll have to give it another couple listens after making it through another couple albums. It didn't immediately click, but that's also maybe because it's just different than their previous stuff. Very solid though but I could see it going up for me.
I'll check out No Sleep too and Golden Years too! Motorhead would have been wild to see live. |

02.21.26 | No Sleep till Hammersmith is classic |
AlkemestRedux
02.23.26 | After some palate cleansing, it's back on the Motorhead grind. Motorhead seems like a band that you need to take breaks from to appreciate the differences in albums and songs since they're all so consistent. |
RunOfTheMill
02.24.26 | Bastards rules hard, their best 90s album |
AlkemestRedux
02.24.26 | Just started it and it already feels a lot better than March or Die. |
AlkemestRedux
02.24.26 | Also turns out that Tiamat is a perfect break from Motorhead. After two albums of oppressive (although very good) gothic, some balls out rock sounds even better. |
AlkemestRedux
03.09.26 | Five studio albums and two live ones left to go m/// |
RunOfTheMill
03.13.26 | I've listened to Aftershock and Bad Magic a ton (though it's been a while!), but I admittedly can't remember a thing from Kiss, Motorizer or World is Yours |

03.13.26 | I BET YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE A REAL OPERATOR |
Rowhaus
03.13.26 | 18 - 20 was a tremendous run of albums |
AlkemestRedux
03.13.26 | I'm stoked to listen to them! I've heard that the final stretch of albums are stronk. Inferno kicked it off really well. |
Rowhaus
03.13.26 | Yeah everything from Inferno on is rock-solid imo. 19 and 20 have some serious bangers. |
AlkemestRedux
03.16.26 | RIP Phil, major bummer over the weekend. |
Rowhaus
03.16.26 | [2]
Jammed the discog all weekend |
RunOfTheMill
03.16.26 | what the fuck, that came outta nowhere, huge RIP |
AlkemestRedux
03.16.26 | Only 64 too which is definitely too young. Gonna try and finish this run this week. |
Rowhaus
03.16.26 | Hell yeah bro you've got some great albums ahead of you. Everything from Inferno on is incredibly solid stuff m/ |
AlkemestRedux
03.16.26 | Kiss of Death is off to a great start, plus the album cover is so badass. Gonna have to go back and listen to the highlight records too I think. So much good stuff here. |
Rowhaus
03.17.26 | What a fantastic body of work |
AlkemestRedux
03.17.26 | It really is. Probably the definition of consistent. Even their uninspired albums usually still have a few kickass songs on them. They just stayed completely true to their own sound and it's awesome. |
RunOfTheMill
03.17.26 | gratz on completing the discog! It was fun following along, and it got me to revisit some of their albums after a very long time (10+ years, must be) |
AlkemestRedux
03.17.26 | Aw hell yeah! Glad it sparked some re-listens. Now I have to decide which ones I'm gonna try and snag physical copies of. I think Overkill, Another Perfect Day and Ace of Spades are probably the top contenders, but Bastards and 1916 are great too. |
RunOfTheMill
03.18.26 | I have Ace of Spades and APD myself, but been on the hunt for original presses of Overkill and Orgasmatron forever. I should look for a copy of Aftershock too. Do you collect vinyl, CD or cassettes? |
AlkemestRedux
03.18.26 | Those would all be sick additions! And I collect CD and vinyl, but most CD with vinyl pickups seeming to be more country and classics (aside from a ton of dubstep records I bought when I dj'd lol), so Motorhead could go both ways. The upside of CDs is I do like listening to them when I drive vs streaming. |
RunOfTheMill
03.18.26 | Dope, you'll have an easier time finding it them on CD for sure |
AlkemestRedux
03.18.26 | Oh definitely. I like crate digging and found some a couple weeks ago, but they were selling used Motorhead CDs for like $20 so I'll keep looking lol for that price might as well cop a new vinyl for a couple bucks more. |
