Veks 01.06.26	Hey man, As someone who struggles with this shit for 25 years now, the only thing that helped was a year ago when I started going to a specialist. Meds help but alone are worth shit. I spent 3 years not listening to music due to this fucking illness. Fuck that shit. I hate it. It WILL rob you of your happiness and all the things you enjoy. And it's a slope.

LouBreed 01.06.26	IDK, guys, this is all very nice, but it's depression we're talking about here, not just bad mood. Can we offer something more substantial than just "trust the riffs" (which I'm sure evilford does anyway, depression or not) and "get some fresh air"? I can't be of much help from Ukraine (but if you need someone to talk to, share your grievances or just discuss music, I'm sure we can get in contact, evilford. I have my own emotional issues, we can compare!). But maybe someone lives not so far away, like in the same or neighboring state, and you can actually meet up, for example? It could be just a friendly conversation, or maybe someone can actually give a professional advice on how to deal with depression. In short, can we do anything as a community?
evilford 01.06.26	I appreciate the sentiment Lou, but different things do help different people and I can tell u just from the replies here I feel a bit better. I dont need professional help from sput users, I have a psychiatrist and a therapist for that. I want to know that I'm not alone and that people care. And obviously I know intrinsically that they really do, regardless of if I post this list. But the interaction is very nice and it in itself helps imo So, long story short, I agree that depression is a hugely complicated and multi-faceted thing to deal with. But even saying "love u" or "you're not alone " or some variation (a la "trust the riffs") is helpful in its own way

Voivod 01.06.26	Try to get as much quality sleep as possible man. Sleep is the best benign anti-depressant. Also, get rid of toxic people and toxic circumstances around you. Both just can't be fixed, it's like someone saying that lead can be made non-toxic/debilitating for humans and fauna/flora. Get some exercise, preferably long walks or running. Finally, reduce screen time near zero for obvious reasons.

Josh D. 01.06.26	I never sleep through the night, usually have to pee. It's probably because I go to bed early, so it's difficult to make it through the whole night. Dayvigo helps though. I need to start exercising again, but it sure as hell won't be pure running, my least favorite form of exercise.

RVAHC13 01.08.26	People can diagnose you with any number of things but I feel sadness/anger/emptiness in life is generally a normal cyclical part of the human experience. I can try to suppress my negative emotions but I find it easier to just accept them as part of who I am. We’re human beings, we’re emotionally complex, we laugh and cry in equal amounts, that’s why we can enjoy so many kinds of music that speak to all our senses. I believe that good times can always happen, but sometimes we have to wade through the bad times to know and appreciate when they finally do. Not trying to prescribe philosophy, just throwing my two cents in. I hope life turns a corner for you soon Ford, we’re always here for you
